  1. @AWDPATH You wouldn't by chance be able to get a part number of the Splash Guard/Shield, or a few pictures?
  2. @AWDPATH Yup, exactly what I used to see, even though it was on a AWD V6, the one "not needed/optional one" that sometimes came with my model did have a round spin off piece to drain the oil, I am afraid my local Ford Dealer may have butchered the underside in an attempt to resolve the oil smell issue, and along with the cover may have yanked off some sub frames, not sure, I really wish I would of taken a picture, but who knew, I have since changed dealerships for a multitude of reason, even though they have been rated "highly" in the state, the 6HZ6 5410494 A, cover seem to match up fairly well to exhaust and other cutouts, but I am certain the original splash shield had a round spin off piece to access the oil drain. Not to get off on a rant but before the dealer/tech took the cover off it keep road noise down significantly and the engine itself with as clean as if it came right off the assembly line, I just want the cover back I lost, I have shelled out some cash already for the wrong cover (6HZ6 5410494 A). And it is impossible to get my previous dealership to take responsibility for any action that does turn out right while in their car (again sorry for the rant). You wouldn't have a part number off of the covering? Believe it not no one has an issue finding the part number for the spin on plastic cover the shields the drain plug, I have a part number the my "new" parts guy is unsure on 7H6Z-5410494-A. But yup, mine had the round hole for the drain and it was on a 2007 V6 AWD SE and dealer said there is no such thing...Go figure. Any help would be fantastic, all Fusions V6, I4, AWD or other should come withit, it keep things so clean, and much quieter (yeaaa, I know I am repeating myself, but I am still pretty pissed with my x-local dealer, you trust the dealer to do the right thing and get burned) Sorry for the rant, not happy when people mess with my investment. Thanks again AWDPATH...Would you happen to have a part #.

  4. @AWDPATH. Thanks for the info. I was looking into getting Halo/Angle eye lights so thanks for the info on that , what I am really looking for is the part # for the splash guard that pretty much covers the entire bottom of the engine basically from bumper fascia back, the Part # they (Ford Parts) gave me was close ((6HZ6 5410494 A), and all the cutouts, curves matched up, room for exhausts, etc, but the bolt holes did not align which seems odd since it's the same platform ( unless more sub frame/bracket parts were taken off also), this all started when i took it to my local dealer for an oil smell, and when the vehicle was returned to me the that shroud/cover, which covers most of the lower engine was gone, it had an access point for the filter, and another round hole, with a spin off piece of plastic, to drain the oil. There are several parts that may fit it, but Ford make me eat the cost (understandably ) if the part is wrong. It covers the entire bottom of the motor minus the oil access points, and yup it was on my 2007 AWD, V6, Ford claims there no such thing (and yes I understand that they can break it down or BOM it out and it should tell you exactly what it came with) and my car never came with it, but you can see the outline where it used to be, again local dealer took it off, never replaced it, now will offer no help at all. It is not P# 6HZ6 5410494 A, I already shelled out $140 for that and own it with nothing to do with it it. Any help would be great
  5. Hello! I have a 2007 Ford Fusion, V6, AWD. I had an oil smell and brought it in to the local Manchester Ford dealer, before I had a large protective black splash guard under the engine, which I thought was very impressive of Ford to think of this, it is (was) very similar to the splash guard under an Audi, upon return the splash guard was missing and the dealer stated there was no such a thing and the vehicle never came with it (they did a BOM of the VIN and it was not listed although I am certain my car had it). I had been under the vehicle quite a few times, to swap fog lights and to check to see where the oil smell was coming from, after seeing all the plastic that had to be removed I thought it best as to let the local Ford dealer look at, I brought my car to the local dealer, they did resolve the oil smell, but the entire splash guard, engine cover, lower engine cover (which cover most if not all of the bottom of the motor) what ever it happens to be called was missing, again they said it was never there, never such a thing and not a thing anyone could do about it, I did order, at another dealer, a part everyone thought we be the one, it matched up for for the most part, as far as exhaust pipes engine mounts etc, but no place to bolt it to the frame or sub frame. The worse part about it is that with the cover in place the engine stayed very clean, road noise was much better and believe or not I was getting a few mpg better, and now after a TSB on an AWD drive train issue the burnt oil smell is back, no leaks can be found and it's been several hundred miles since the drive line has been changed. I love the car but the pretty much constant oil smell and the lack of help from Ford directly (minus the TSB) , really is pushing me to get rid of the car. It gets great mpg, fantastic in the snow, rides well, and performs excellent, I just want the lower shield back and the oil smell to go away. Does anyone know the part # for the lower shield the one I have is "6HZ6 5410494 A" again all the notches line up but unable to bolt to frame or subframe, it might even be other pieces are missing, it seems the dealer torn everything out to find/resolve the burnt oil smell. Does anyone what might be causing the continual burnt oil smell after long rides and only after the vehicle stops, while in motion you cannot detect it, after a 30+ mile drive when the vehicle comes to a complete stop it smells as if a quart of oil has been spilled on the engine, after repeated visits to the dealer, no leaks have been found. Any Help?
  6. I have a 2007, Fusion AWD 3.0. no mods. and I get 26-27 highway, after computer reset, no traffic, around 75 mph. Combined city/highway runs around 21mpg.

  8. I have a 2007, Fusion V6 (3.0) AWD, it had a splash guard underneath the engine and since a recent local Ford dealer went looking for a burnt oil smell, it is gone, dealer states it was never there, although i have been under the car quite a few times and was impressed that Ford took the time to produce the piece, now said dealer states it was never there, never had one and has not been any help.
