  1. OK so when I listen to some songs in my car some have a deeper bass. Of course the front door panels rattle and it annoys me. I have heard of course using sound deafening material will help eliminate most of it. Now I have heard that Dynamat works great, I have never used it before. Is it worth the price to buy it and install in on the door panels/door? Of course does it actually work like it says?
  2. I have a 2009 Mercury Milan I-4 w/18,000 miles. The air bag light on the instrument cluster stays on after the first initial start-up, it had started around January. Once I shut off the car and start it back up again, the light will stay off. I had taken it to the dealer after the third time the light came back on, they tried to see what the issue was, but it did not store the code for some reason. It had came back on again this morning and again, once the car is shut off and started back up, the light remains off. I have heard that the battery could be the cause of it, but it has already been replaced. It seems to happen in the morning between 7-9 AM. The first time the light came on, it was extremely cold out, the last three times it came on it was around 20-40 degrees *F. The light comes on during the most inconvenient time, because I am always on my way to work when it comes on and I can't stop at the dealership. Any ideas???
  3. I have not heard of any Issues with the wiper relay/switch. I would look in the TSB section in the Fusion Forum to see if there is a recall on them. I would take it the dealer and have them look at it. It could be the switch for the wipers when you change the setting for the wiper speed. Its always hard to say what could be the cause of them. If the car is still under warranty you shouldn't have a problem and they may replace it if its bad for N/C of course. Hope you figure out what's wrong and get the issue resolved.
  4. OK, So I have the same exact engine in my Milan. That slight knocking noise is normal, it is because Ford recommends using 5W20 oil in there engines. Its because it's thinner oil. If the noise bother's you, you can try to use 5W30 oil in your engine and see what happens. Both oils are so close in weight it won't make a huge difference.
  5. The .30 does not really matter for your oil level. As long as your oil level is not under the 3/4 mark on the dip stick you'll be fine. Its just how the oil pan was designed, if you feel more comfortable you can add the almost extra half quart of oil, other wise you'll be fine.
  6. Those shouldn't have TPMS stems. I have a 2009 Mercury Milan and I have the Ford band sensor. I have normal rubber valve stems. The wheels you have should have normal regular valve stems. The newer 2010 models in the Ford line up have the newer TPMS attached to the sensor. However in some cases the old owner that had those wheels had those sensors installed, but you do not HAVE to replace the valve stems every tire change. The reason why they replace them is because the valve stems dry out and start to crack and can start to leak air.
  7. Those look vary nice on your Fusion. I am currently looking for new wheels for my car. Just out of curiosity how much did your cost?
  8. It is normal for those seats. Because the passenger front seat folds completely face down to put in longer objects. Some if the Fusions/Milans are the same way. My car does the same thing, and it is because the seat folds all the way forward, that is all.
  9. What you have to do is take off the pass front wheel and remove the plastic molding in the fender. Then you will have to take a socket and then turn it clockwise to move the belt tensioner, then the belt will come off. Then there is a bolt in the center of the idler pulley, remove that and the the idler pulley comes off.
  10. HI, sorry I didn't post anything about this sooner. There is a problem with those automatic Temperature Control system. There is a hardware update in the newer ones. I have a 2009 Mercury Milan, the same problem occurred with my car. The dealer had to replace it, the dealer looked it up and told me that there is a known problem and it has to get replaced, the part did have to get ordered. It has nothing to do with the battery dropping below 8 volts when the temperature drops below -25 Celsius. I still have my headlights and temperature control system on automatic everyday when I start my car in the morning. I have not had it turned off when I started up my car since it got replaced.
