  1. The reason I had to pay for it was because I went to a dealer near work who said it was the fault of my original dealer, only to find out later that it was a whole different control arm. I've sinced talke to Ford and will try to get my money back. I drove to Chicago over the weekend and took the car to a dealership there because the noise (ticking/whistling) had gotten worse. They had to replace an engine pulley that had something to do with the steering. They told me if it had broken that I would have completely lost steering while driving home. This is the second time that my life was basically endangered because of Ford problems. I've now escalated my issue to beyond the customer service "rep" that they've assigned to me. I will not sign anything nor accept any offers from them until I get to meet personally with a mfg rep. I also am going to see one of the BIG attorneys here and hopefully bring all of the Ford Fusion issues to light on a local newscast. Ford wants everyone to think that their cars are so quality and that they stand behind them, but in reality, they don't, unless it's something minor. I have spoken to an attorney who will take the case, but unlike they advertise, he wants money up front. If I lose, not only do I lose that money, but I get NOTHING from Ford. I'm going to fight this on my own for as long as I can. I have to be careful because my car already has 25,000 miles on it and I need to get this done before my warranty is up.
  2. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought new and I spend 1/2 my time at the dealership.
  3. I have had, and continue to have this problem, eventhough they took my entire seat apart. According to my dealership, this is because that plastic piece along side of the passenger seat houses the air bag, and the seat has to have some movement. It makes no sense to me but it is really irritatating. Who the heck designs these cars anyway?
  4. Since I've owned my Ford Fusion (14 months) here is a list of problems: Passenger seat taken apart, seat belt rattle (they fixed this by applying felt to the side of my seat),door runner had to be fixed because the dealer broke the clip when installing the auto starter, hard shiftng and clunking noise when shifting (re-set computer with TSB but still had/have problems), a Mfg. Rep came to the dealership and did something to the trans because it was leaking (and oh by the way; the dealership mechanics couldn't figure this out), a new blower motor, a right upper control arm replaced, a lower control arm fixed because the bolt was loose and the car kept going off the road and caused the Advance Trac light to come on (had to be re-set and have alignment which they charged me $106 for). Currently, I believe that the CAM Follower is ticking and needs to be checked, AND the AC Compressor is making a loud whistling noise. I also continue to have trans "slipping" issues and the car tac going up to 4 and 5 on shift from 1st and/or 2nd into 3rd. According to the Ford Customer Service Rep, they still haven't found a fix for the transmission issues yet (hmmm, why no recall on this?). To top it all off; Ford thinks that I don't have enough issues to file Lemon Law (of course they wouldn't) and I paid a little over 21,000 for it. 10 months after I bought it, they offered me 14,000 for it; I told them that they were out of thier minds! Now, I can't trade it in because I can't afford the loss, and who will buy it outright? NEVER EVER again will I buy a Ford Product.
  5. I too am currently getting the ticking noise, which I'm told by my mechanic (not Ford dealer) that it is most likely the AC Compressor, however, I had to have my blower motor replaced, and I continue to list this stuff in my post for people to see: Since I've owned my Ford Fusion (14 months) here is a list of problems: Passenger seat taken apart, seat belt rattle (they fixed this by applying felt to the side of my seat),door runner had to be fixed because the dealer broke the clip when installing the auto starter, hard shiftng and clunking noise when shifting (re-set computer with TSB but still had/have problems), a Mfg. 6. Yes, I have had this problem along with a LONG list of others which I'll list here. First, however, the Advance Trac light; mine was caused by a lower control arm bolt being loose and cause the car to be out of alignment. They had to re-set the sensor and re-align my car (which they charged me $106 for eventhough it was still under warranty because it seems my dealer supposedly left it loose.
