  1. I went from a 1999 Cavalier Z24 with 188K to a new Fusion SE 2.5L A6. The Cavalier was a car that I purchased as a private sale and though it got me through our harsh Alberta winter, it was on its last legs and needed to be put down. What I miss: 1. Power sunroof 2. Smaller fuel tank - still got me 30+ MPG on the highway. 3. Cheaper insurance What I won't miss: 1. Suspension that is equal to a horse-drawn carriage. 2. Manual transmission that had problems with its synchros. Reverse was about to fail sometime soon. 3. Stressing out that the car would stall out as the motor was tired and showing issues with oil and fuel circulation. 4. Not having a warranty for any powertrain issues that may arise. What I love: 1. SYNC - I am impressed with the voice recognition, though it does have a tendency to misinterpret like any speech recognition system. 2. Hands-free system - Alberta is pushing for a hands-free bylaw but I still don't believe in using mobile devices while driving. The speakerphone is awesome and being able to dial via voice is great. Now if phone manufacturers would get up to speed for MAP support, I'd be able to have text messages read to me.
  2. Myself and my parents have been driving GM products for who knows how many years. I was hesitant to get the Fusion, but so far I love my SE. The previous car was a '99 Z24, so this is a big noticeable improvement. When my '04 Grand AM was in for repairs, I was given an '06 SE with the 2.3L for a rental. The 2nd Gen Fusions are so much better in ride comfort and fuel economy.
  3. The guy used aftermarket lugs. It was his own stupidity to begin with, and had nothing to do with VW.
