  1. Welsome to the forum. I see you're on your 4th new car in three years.
  2. Looks like an MKZ with a different front clip. I don't see the elegance of the concept car here. Perhaps this car is in fact the mid-cycle freshening of the MKZ to match the new and upcoming look of all Lincolns?
  3. Oh shit... a friggin CAI piece of crap. Guess what that does? Nothing. Advertised horsepower gain? B.S. Great job on getting the trendiest "mod" available. Really shows your years of automotive mechanic experience.
  4. Until you dyno this vehicle, scan in your readout, and post it on this forum, I'll remain on the "you're-probably-imagining-a-substantial-horsepower-gain" side of the fence. Sorry, but getting a fantastic performance increase out of a 2.3L four-cylinder in a Fusion by simply swapping the intake manifold brings out the skeptic in me. Want a performance increase? Reprogram your fuel system to squirt more gas in the cylinders.
  5. Don't get me wrong, escapen... I appreciate the post. Just want to point out what's between the lines here. That article has more holes than a Saigon whore.
  6. Ok... Um... Ok... Um... The only thing clear here is that this article is hogwash.
  7. Whew! If nothing else, you'll appreciate knowing you'll have the capability to achieve 29-30.5mpg and around 470-500 miles on 16 gallons. That's what I've consistently been getting. And I drive around 600 miles/week.
  8. Her English is better than yours! Welcome aboard, Ivanna.
  9. That's Turbostroke. Yes, I think he has lowered his white Fusion.
  10. Nah... just the guy at Ford's crack-ass marketing department for mislabling the interior photos. Clearly an S model would not come standard with leather seats or steering wheel.
  11. Dealers down here don't need a dealer plate for cars that are taken on test drives. Only time I see dealer plates is for a dealer manager who uses one of the lot cars as his own.
  12. Take a chill pill. Geez. You've got non-functional scoops on your car. Fine. Whatever. Looks nice, but even if converted to some level of "functional" status they'd have minimal to no impact on engine performance. You don't have a carburator in the center of your engine bay below your windsheild... ergo, the scoop motif is an aesthetic gimmick.
  13. Very nice choice. What's up with the ghetto license plate on the trunk? Must be a Nevada thing?
  14. Save for body panels, all parts should be completely interchangable. They're the same car with only chassis tuning between them. Steeda is likely limited to the name they apply due to their license to use the Fusion name alone. Ford likely does not want the aftermarket impressing upon people that the cars are the same. Keeping the Mercury identity separate is important in the big picture. Or it could simply be laziness in not wanting to type extra characters on every item ".../Milan."
  15. This is a good forum for sharing information about the CD3 platform, vehicle ownership experience, and potential service issues. Why are you here?
  16. Dude... I'm in New Orleans. You're in Las Vegas. Who knows where the other 10-12 active posters live. This isn't some "local car scene" forum. We're not going to all get together and shoot the shit about Ford Fusions on a Saturday night in the parking lot of the Burger King down the street.
  17. Works great until the first time you get stiffed by some 16 year-old. Yes, it happens. There's a reason Ebay has a lock on its service.
  18. The Owner's Manual indicates that the fuel filter for the Fusion/Milan is a lifetime part that does not require replacement. This would be why you're not able to find one. Look it up. The stupid dealer tried to sell me that and fuel additive (which the manual indicates NEVER to use) during my 15,000 mile oil change. I had to educate him on something you think Ford would have educated the dealer service staff on itself.
  19. I thought it looked incorrect too, but it says that is a picture of the Fusion S on fordvehicles.com. See the image below:
  20. I beleive one forum poster did that to his MKZ and another guy did it to his Fusion recently. Didn't look like much of a difference to me. Front looked higher than the rear. Search the forum.
  21. Certainly isn't mine either, but why don't we avoid trying to make it like every other board you've been on? Wanna sell crap? Go to Ebay.
  22. I remember when MTV showed music videos. This forum is special because of its typically strict adherance to Fusion/Milan/MKZ/Ford subject matter. Social crap is social crap. I personally prefer quality over quantity on a car forum.
