  1. Just an update.. I put AC/Pro into my AC and it's working great now. That tells me, like yours, that it is not the blend door. The meter was showing a 10 and it should have been between 30 and 60. I was able to get it to 35 but it wouldn't go any further. Our ACs probably have a small leak somewhere. A mechanic told me they would usually put dye in it and then check it with a black light a few days later.
  2. Oh wow.. thanks! I am going to try the refrigerant first. Weird that it would do this, you would think it would blow warm air out of both sides. Did you use refrigerant with leak seal? I heard that it could mess up some ACs with these new cars.
  3. Thank you for replying.. I see what you mean by the picture. So frustrating. Basically we would have to remove most of the area to get to it. I can only imagine how much a dealership would charge to replace this $10 piece.
  4. Blowing warm air on the driver's side, cold air on the passenger (I do not have dual climate control). I called a ford dealership, they said there are 2 actuators even though I have single climate control. I took the bottom panel off under the steering wheel but could not find where the actuator is. Does anyone have any idea where it might be? I assume it's the same from '13-17 models. I can see the one on the passenger side, but it's impossible to get too, though I believe just changing the driver's side will fix it.
  5. Thanks all.. I was looking at a black one back in August, but it was sold 2 hours after I left the dealership.. I called to tell them I was taking it. Since then I couldn't find a black one in my area, so I was going to settle on white but Saturday morning I saw a place not far from me got a black one in. They also had a SEL which was 1600 more, but it didn't have a spoiler or a leather-wrapped steering wheel (which is weird). That one had 200 mi. on it as well.. So I took the SE. I saw on eBay that they sell lighted door sill plates, but where would the wire harness attach to? The only thing I don't like about the fusion is no temperature display on the radio (though you can ask sync for the weather) and I can't tell it to play a particular song through the bluetooth audio (I have an iPhone 4S). I can if it's connected by USB, however if it's connected through the cable, clicking on my music icon on the phone doesn't show what songs are in my playlist, just a screen showing that it's connected to sync.. As I was coming home sunday, some teenage kid almost hit me, looking over I saw him leaning over his steering wheel with both hands on his phone texting while driving w/ his arms.. Pissed me off! I just wish it would warm up soon here in PA so I can wash, claybar and detail the car.
  6. Bought a 2012 fusion se with sun and sync.. Listed at 24,915, they knocked it down to 23,000.. then added 2000 in rebates and had equity in my trade. Paid 19,100 for it after taxes. I got 3.17% for 72 months, didn't go through ford fiancing. Here is a pic, love it so far!
  7. Went to a local dealership, had a 2012 SE 201A spec, black w/ black cloth. They listed the car at 24,610, they knocked it down to 23,188. They first came back w/ a number of $308 mo/ 72 mon. 1000 down. Seemed way off. After going through a couple of rebate/interest rate scenarios, they came to 23,188 -1500 rebate (using a third party bank at 3.24%) -12588 trade ---- 9100 I owe 8500 on it So they gave me an out the door pricing of $18323.65 with tax and tags $270 mo. 75 months I was under the assumption that it was $2000 rebates w/ 1.9% fiancing. Not true, it's $500 cash rebate w/ 1.9% 72 month or $2000 cash rebate w/ ford credit using a higher interest rate (5.9%) or $1500 cash rebate using a third party bank. I was there just this morning, called them back with this question an hour later and they told me that someone else was buying the car as we spoke.. Guess it was just my bad luck or something.. The car was there for a couple of weeks. I called another dealer that has the same exact car (40 miles away) and they said they can't give me numbers until they look at my trade. My trade at kbb was $13,000 very good condition, $12,000 at good. The dealership first offered me $12,088 for my trade but upped it to $12,588 when I was there. At these numbers do you think I was getting a good deal? The tires on my car need replaced and an alignment, car is a 2008 chevy malubu lt with 45k miles on it.
  8. I'm looking at a 2012 fusion SE and a couple of dealers have given me quote $1500 off the sticker price, plus the $2000 in rebates (including $500 for going with ford credit). I'm sure that dealer can do much better, I would offer $27,000 on the car. Just make sure he gives you market value for your trade.
  9. Why did you get only $1500 in rebates? If you went through ford fiancing they gave you an extra $500. Thing is now, I don't know if the incentives are still there, going onto ford's website there is nothing about incentives. I assume yours doesn't have the sunroof? I got a quote two weeks ago from a dealer with the 202a without the sunroof for $21,100 including all the rebates. As for the trade, thats why i'm so hesitant to buy, once I go on the lot and show them the deal they made me, the 'online offer' for my trade probably won't be what they will try to give me. I hate spending hours at a dealership.
  10. I'm looking at a 2012 Fusion SE, 202A package (sun and sync) with rear spoiler. Black w/ black cloth. MSRP at: 24,915, with $2000 in rebate and him going down some he wants $21,459 (he took an extra $1456 off the sticker)+ tax and tags. This includes all doc fees. Do you guys think this is a good deal? I haven't discussed my trade with him. There was another willing to do $21,189 but it didn't have a sunroof. They were pushing because of the rebates and incentivies ending this month, not sure what ford has for August.. Any thoughts?
  11. Is this transmission issue only with the SELs? I was looking at a used 2010 SEL (20k miles) and worried that this car might have this problem. Someone purchased it new from this dealer and they are now selling it again. Who brings a car back after a year and 20k miles? I am also looking at a 2012 SE and wondered if the SE's have the transmission problems..
  12. Is your fusion a SEL or SE? I was looking at a 2012 SE but now these posts have me worried.. I also suggest you mylemon.com (if you happen to live in pa or nj). I had a mazda6, the engine was slipping, called the dealer on a monday, it had 49,800 miles (50k powertrain warranty). They were an hour away, and told them the issue. They couldn't see me until Saturday. Well, Wednesday the crankshaft blew through the engine block. Had 50,100 miles on it. At first they refused to replace the engine (wanted $5,000 from me for repairs), until I contacted that law firm. They work for free. They suggested I call mazda headquarters, which I did. A rep from mazda came down and told them to replace the engine. The dealer then gave me a smartass remark 'We are replacing the engine because your wife bought a car from us recently'. That set me off.. I told them 'Don't pat yourselfs on the back, you didnt want to replace the engine at first, and if you didn't I had my lawyer at my side.' I know ford and mazda are mixed in with each other, so I can feel your frustrations. I would get a lawyer and DEMAND a new vehicle. This car will not be the same. My mazda wasn't and traded that thing in (they only gave me a 10k miles warranty on the new engine). Don't be passive, the squeaky wheel gets the oil!
  13. Wow.. after reading on edmunds.com about the 2010 SEL transmission problems i'm thinking of going with the SE. This dealer initially sold that SEL, so i'm thinking why did someone bring back the car after a year and with 20k miles on it? It wasn't a rental and leases are not that short. Makes me think.. Also, I know it has a clean carfax, but those are unreliable. My wife's car was t-boned at 50 mph, it was a saturn. The left front wheel was pushed way up into the body of the car. The frame was bent, however the insurance company still wanted to 'fix' it and not total it. A dealer fixed her car (took 2 months) and her alignment was always off after that.. A few months later her carfax came back clean. So I don't trust thost sites.
  14. Thanks for the reply.. The SE does come with Sync & Sun, so the only difference between the two is the leather and the sony sound. Does yours have the upgraded stereo? If so, how does it sound compared to the reg. stereo?
  15. Well I heard bad reviews from the dealer that has the SEL.. However here is my latest update: The new 2012 SE the dealer will let go for $21,988 + tax and tags, comes to $23,500. He knocked $927 off, and said at most he can do $200 more. So, 21,788 + tax/tags There is another 2010 SEL, 20k miles, loaded for $20,600, that is a little over an hour from me. The new SE is about 15 mins away. How good is that sony stereo compared to the reg. 6 speakers in the SE?
