I traded in a red 2005.5 Audi S4 (mid year redesign) for my 2011 Blue Ford Fusion Sport. Test drove the Fusion on a whim as I was about to have my next scheduled maintenance performed on the S4 to the tune of $1500. Bought the Fusion the day after I test drove it.
What I miss:
Race car like handling, power
What I won't miss:
The insanely high regular maintenance costs, gas mileage, premium gas
What I like better about the Fusion:
It's 'select shift' - I love that it doesn't shift itself, the Audi's did and the Audi and I would want to shift at the same time, so it would jump 2 gears. I used it a grand total of 2 times. Sync - has there EVER been a better car gadget? Color...I love Blue. Bought the S4 used and didn't have much choice on color and had to accept the auto transmission.
I loved the S4, and even after liking the Fusion really thought I was going to have buyers remorse after a couple days, but I don't miss it at all. I will admit that I'd like to make the Fusion a little faster, but I love it as is. Great car. One message for Ford though...can you please offer a 6 speed manual with the 3.5L V6 in the Fusion? You can probably wait a few years though, love my Fusion.
