  1. It was spray on, I took it to a shop and it came off with paint thinner, left some marks on the plastic but all in all it turned out to be a painless process.
  2. Yeah I never would modify my lights this dark, it looks awesome but is incredibly impractical. Guess i gotta pay to remove it.
  3. Good evening everyone. I am looking to see if someone in the inland empire that was considering blacking out their tail lights would want to consider a clean switch for tail lights that have been already blacked out. I purchased a 2007 Fusion a few months ago with the lights murdered out. While it looks awesome, I've attracted the attention of CHP twice and got a ticket the first time and now need to remove my lights. If anyone wants to trade my lights for yours there would be no monetary exchange and it would just be the shells and not the actual bulbs. I've attached a picture so you have an idea of just how dark they are. During the day its almost impossible to tell if they're lit, at night however its pretty much as if the lights haven't been altered at all. As stated above I got a ticket for these lights so needless to say that the modification is illegal, this is a forewarning to anyone interested that should be swap lights that you could end up with a ticket yourself. If i have posted this in the wrong section please let me know. I am still new to this website and haven't exactly learned all the rules yet.
  4. Thanks for all the advice guys, AAA came to charge and test the batter and everything checked out fine. The battery, cables, and alternator all check out. Basically the guy told me the only bad news was that we don't know what drained the battery but basically while i was away from my car for the past few days something I overlooked when I left the car completely drained the battery which is why the car's electronics blacked out and nothing worked. Everything is up and running now and I have my pride and joy back. Thanks again, I appreciate the sound advice from everyone.
  5. @Fusionmanor Well I'm not sure when the battery died cause I was gone for a few days and I didn't drive my car. Then when I got home late yesterday I tried to open the car with my opener and it didn't work. I opened it manually to find that all the electronics are not working, power locks, alarm, ignition, dashboard, nothing powers on. I'm gonna call triple a to have them test the battery @bbf unfortunately it's just past 60k miles so the warranty isn't available anymore so I'm really hoping it's nothing more serious
  6. Thanks for the info bbf, yeah first time thin I'm doing is checking the battery later today and I'm gonna try to get a better look at the cables after just to make sure the cables are still good. Also didnt know that it was an inline, thanks for that too. Should be back with more info in the afternoon.
  7. Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and could use some help from people with more knowledge than me. I recently bought a 07 Fusion 2.3L V4. I did a carfax report before I bought it and it checked out. I haven't been home for a few days and no one has driven the car. I got home today and tried to open the trunk with the buttons on the keys and got nothing, couldnt open the doors or lock, the car won't start. Basically speaking, no electronics on my car are operational. I don't believe any lights were left on, but at this point I obviously can't check. Everything (to my knowledge) looks good under the hood, cables aren't worn and are firmly connected. If I could get a few ideas aside from a dead battery I'd really appreciate it. I havent had a chance to check the battery cause I don't have jumper cables so if that happens to be the problem I'll come back and delete the post. Thanks everyone and I hope I posted this in the correct section.
