  1. What was the problem with the car when you took it in? I was going to ask if you live someplace where it snows. I get a lot of vibration problems with mine in the winter, it is from snow getting packed into the wheels.and then you start feeling a strong vibration in the front end. Usually taking it to a car wash and getting all the snow and ice blasted out of the wheels and the areas around the wheels will solve the problem .
  2. My Advancetrac light came on this morning and I got a message in the message center that said "service advancetrac". The light went out for awhile and then came back on. I called the dealer service dept and asked them about it, they said they get that a lot and usually it goes away if you shut the car off and turn it back on. If it persists I am supposed to set up a appointment to bring it in.. The car has been sitting for a few hours now, I am getting ready to go back out. Will see what the light does. My Fusion is a SEL with AWD, The TCS light will FLASH once in awhile driving in the snow, like when I have to stop at a stop sign and then have a hard time getting going again, the light will flash, but I have never seen it come on and stay on.
  3. It probably is when it is shifting from one gear to the next, I am not sure and it does not happen all the time. It is leased, have another year with this car and then I can get something else.
  4. Thanks. The car is under warranty, I'd rather just take it in than mess with it myself. I thought maybe some water had gotten down inside the door during a car wash or something and then froze during this cold weather we have been having and messed things up some how.
  5. I am averaging about 20 MPG with mine, a 2012 SEL AWD. Past few months in the cold I am getting 16-18 MPG. Best tank ever was 26.5 MPG on a road trip to Iowa last summer.
  6. Once in awhile, usually shortly after I start the car I sometimes get a hard knock while driving. Sometimes it is such a jolt that is feels like someone rear ended me. This has to be a transmission problem right?? I live in a place where it is extremely cold out this time of year and the car only does this when it is cold, like after it sat outside while I worked a 12 hour shift and I am driving home. Any ideas what this might be?? I have already been into service multiple times for other issues with this car, if I go back in I want to know what to tell them. Is there a term for this?
  7. Your MPG is a little low, I do not do much highway driving but when I do I get around 25 or 26 MPG and I have a V6 also. I do mostly city driving and have been getting around 16 MPG with mine.
  8. I get it on the inside once in awhile, just depends on the weather and running the defroster on high for a minute or two will usually clear it up.
  9. I have noticed that with mine also. If you have a remote start and want to be able to start the car to defrost your windows/warm the car you need to put it in a manual setting BEFORE you turn the car off the night before. If you just leave it in auto climate mode and then start the car it is not going to do much for you. Even when I get in the car and start it myself I find that first I have to go to one of the manual modes, turn the fan on and then switch to auto climate to get the heat to work. I have a 2012 with dual zone auto climate.
  10. I have a 2012 Fusion with the 12 speaker audio system. For the last two weeks or so the speaker in the passenger door intermittently goes out. One day it was out and then while I was driving there was a loud crackle sound from that side and the speaker came back on. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I might take it in to service but it works more than it does not work and there is probably not much they can do with it unless it is not working when I take it in there.
  11. They called me today and told me to come get the car, the light was on when I drove it into the shop and they saw that it was on. But they could not get it to come on for them there. The printout says they "performed a pinpoint test and found bad pin fit in connector. Sprayed deoxidezer in connector and fix monor faulty connection." I will see if it comes back on in the next few days, if it does I will take it back again. I bought a car that has airbags in it and I want them to work in the event of a accident. I should not be having these problems with a car that is so new. I like the car, over the past few months I have drove 4 different rentals and each time I get back into my Fusion I can feel the difference, it is a very nice riding car, and I love the style of it but if I wanted problems from a car I would have bought a used one.
  12. At first it would come on and go out a few times. Then when it started to stay on all the time I took it to the dealer the first time. They got it to go out but then it came back on the next day in the afternoon when I was leaving work. Same thing again, it would come on and then when I shut the car off it did not come on right away but then I would notice it was on after driving for awhile and then eventually it got back to the point where it was always on and I took it back to the dealer again. No, I have not had any problems with the car not starting, this is the only problem I have had with the car so far. Maybe it could be the battery but like I said, the car is new, I have had it for 10 months now and batteries usually last longer than that unless it is just a bad battery.
  13. My 2012 Fusion SEL has just over 10,000 miles on it and I have recently had it in the dealer twice for air bag warning light issues. First time they said they fixed it, I got it back and the light was off but it came back on the next day. They have it right now and gave me a loaner to drive while they try to figure out what the light means and why it is on. Anyone else have this problem? The car runs fine, it is still really new and I have had no problems with it except this airbag warning light that comes on.
  14. I just went from a 08 Camry XLE to a 2012 Fusion SEL. I picked the Fusion mainly because of it's looks and the fact that you can get a fully loaded V6 SEL for around $25,000. It is not quite the car that the Camry is but I also test drove a Avenger and several Mailbus and the Fusion definately has those beat. I really do miss my Camry, it had some nice touches to it that the Fusion is missing but I am happy with the Fusion, it is comfortable, has a nice quite ride and cost several thousand less than what a comparable Camry would cost.
  15. I just got a 2012 SEL, V6 with 302A in it. The Fusion is pretty much loaded and so far I like it. I paid $25,228 for mine not including tax & state fees. If you are going to get a Fusion you might as well get a nice one, it will be worth more in trade when the time comes/
