  1. Idler pulley. Got tired of the whining under the hood and got it replaced on my SEL last year.
  2. I actually found a way to get the most out of your car (Some steps are omitted, but easy to figure out): 1. Insert key into ignition and start engine 2. Place car in drive and press accelerator 3. Follow speed posted limits or whatever makes you comfortable 4. Drive & enjoy 5. Arrive at destination (important safety tip: turn off ignition and remove key and lock doors)
  3. I purchased a set of Cooper ZeonRS3-A's ($110) on my ride a few weeks ago from Uniroyal GTZ All-Season. So far, I really like the quiet ride, road grip, and handling rolling up and down the highways. I've been impressed with how they've performed in rainy weather with solid feel and traction.
  4. It will have "No Phone" until you pair you mobile device with the system. Look in the SYNC packet that's with your owner's manual for step by step instructions.
  5. I'm currently running Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTZ on my 2010 SEL. Good tire that has performed well on the daily commute and summer and weekend road trips, on both dry and wet conditions. However, I'm planning on switching over to either Goodyear Assurance Comfortred Tourning or Pirelli Cintarato P7 All Seasons. Both have 70,000 mi. warrenties and offer smooth quiet rides.
  6. I recently experienced the same thing on my 2010 SEL when accelerating out or left handed turns. Dealer tech. informed me I also had a cracked motor mount. Got them replaced along with the torque mount (recommended) out the door for $480.00. Hope this not a common thing on Fusions.
  7. To get an effective throw pattern, you need to adjust them so they're higher. It's not too difficult to do on your own. Someone posted the how to earlier. Hope it works out for ya...
  8. Agreed. Went the progression route others did...stock halogens, Silverstars, and finally HID's. The HID's really brighten up the road and was worth the investment.
  9. Here you go. These were taken in the parking deck at my place, looks much cooler with 6000K's (projector's & fogs) and switchbacks (white/amber). I still have amber side markers. BTW, no need to shout, dude....lol! All on: Parking on: Emergency/turn amber:
  10. Agreed! I went with 6000K's in my headlights and fogs with white/amber switchbacks. Looks so much better...... 1) All on 2) Parking only 3) Amber flashing

    car died

Mine did the same thing thing on the way in to work. It died, I stopped, waited about five minutes, started and made it all the way to the office. Heading home, I went about four miles before it stalled again. Luckily, I was able to make to my Ford dealer and the service manager told me what it sounded like, and sure enough, the next day, they confirmed the throttle body was shot. I pick up my car two days later and $548.22 lighter in the wallet. Cant wait to get back behind the wheel.
  12. Welcome! Like Public said, you have to have insurance before driving off the lot. Most places you can simply call your carrier or even do it online. Enjoy your ride!
  13. I have 6000k (diamond whites) HID's in the DRLs and fogs and it really lights up the highway at night. If you have stock projectors and they are aimed them correctly, they will not blind oncoming drivers without diminishing the lights throw patterns. I use a local shop in Houston (http://www.thehidfactory.com/ Shameless plug....lol) that does nothing but HID & LED work on anything with wheels.
  14. Just ordered a pair from PartsGeek.com. Purchased right and left assemblies with shipping was still less than $450. Went to a local shop and they wanted 260 a piece and then they didn't have the passenger side in stock....
