  1. Hello all, My name is Matt West, I own a 2006 Fusion S I4 MTX. I upgraded stock 16" steel wheels/caps to 18" Motegi SX5's...I want to trade anybody my new wheels/tires with their 16" S or SE wheels/tires...we can do this in a walmart parking lot or something here in town if you are willing to trade me straight up...I want to do this because I simply want to revert back to a cheaper tire size...so, if you are willing to go to 18" wheels with 225/45ZR18 tires...please email me at mattgofast@live.com!!!! Thanks for reading!!
  2. Thanks! I will be safe! Well, I cant find anywhere on the net a place that says the weight of my stock wheels...but i do know that these new 18" ones are 28 lbs.!! and im sure my stock 16" rims are around 20 lbs...i dunno...plus, my new tires are 27 lbs...i dont even know what to guess the stock ones are...i just dont want to be bogged down...you know how much things like that can change the performance of such a small engine...especially the torque...because the weight of what is being torqued is VERY important to how much torque you have...if you have lighter, of course, the more torque will get to the ground...i just want to at least make it a little faster if im paying $1700 instead of loosing speed and handling...i am not rich...and i dont want to be dissapointed...ya know?? but ya, im going from 16"x6.5" 205/60R16 to 18"x8" 225/45ZR18...and the new tires/wheels together weigh 55 lbs...anyn more help?? =)
  3. Hey everyone! Thanks for reading this! I am purchasing new wheels for my Merlot '06 Fusion S Manual and NEED TO KNOW the weight of the stock wheels/tires. They are the 16" steel wheels. I am deployed to the war and wont be home for a while and want to buy them now but dont want them to be heavier than stock OF COURSE! haha...so, if someone could help me out??....i need the weight of the wheels and tires together. If you find the info..will you let me know where you found it?? or if you just threw them onto a scale, thats kewl too! I attached some pics of the wheels I am purchasing...what do you think?? Thank you!!
  4. actually...thanks for the help...but no i cant...ford doesnt sell any of it over the counter at thier part stores...the told me it was too bad i didnt get it when i baught the car
  5. most definitely...i have a 2006 fusion s I4 manual and xperience the same thing. it is very much natural and normal for you to see the tach reading 3K at 70 mph...its the same throughout the manuals. the issue between the auto/manual is a basic knowledge type thing. sorry to say, but you'll learn somehow...lol, and like the preceeding stated...this engine has a lot of get-up, and has no problem going to a higher rpm...its quite enjoyable eactually, especially when u have the exhaust i have! and, i have my engine bored out to a 4.2L I4!! 160 HP to 319 HP!! It looks stock from the outside, but everyone at the redlights think it is "unbelivable"...sorry, my location and method of the engine mod is classified! but, prior to this, i had the same rpm reading at 70! good luck!!
  6. Thanks for reading this! Hey, I was wondering if anyone has found a reference to ordering the stock tweeter KIT into my '06 Fusion S?? Like the fog lamp issue for the Fusion S, I am yet to find a kit to install the stock tweeters...I would really like to install the tweeter kit and the fog lamp kit I think that would finish up my mod-ing for a while!! If so, could you tell me where you found the KIT?? I really appreciate it because i haven't taken a car apart yet...i'm kinda scared to to do sometihg wrong cuz its my first new car...ya know?? LOL...so is there any way that Best Buy/Circuit City could do that..if so, do u think they would do a genuine job??...also, do u think they could do fog lamps??...i am an avionics technician in the USAF and repair our aircrafts communication/navigation systems...but havent done a car yet..its diff im sure, plus, its my baby, not the Air Forces! haha...any advice? THANKS!!
