I'm picking up a 2007 SEL I-4 loaded with everything except the Nav and the v-6 tomorrow night.
I purposely wanted a loaded up 4 cylinder, so I was able to dealer trade a black / black leather SEL. I couldn't see paying an extra $1,800 for the v-6, plus I think the mileage is closer to 5 MPG better in real life. This is based on my test drive with resetting the mpg computer in both vehicles.
I think I'm getting a good deal too. A-Plan with $2,000 in rebates. $1,000 in year end bonus cash and $1,000 for a returning leasee (Even though I'm buying it). All this with 4.9% for 60 months. This should total to about $19,500 before tax. This is an SEL with a moon roof, leather, heated seats and the big stereo.
I'm pretty happy, and it's cool that you can get the top of the line with either motor. A lot of times they make you take the upgraded engine.
