  1. I have a similar situation. Just replaced struts due to a bad drivers side spring. Installed monroe quick struts... twice because I thought it was a bad assembly. I have been chasing this fast knocking noise for a month now. I was a technician for 13 years. Let me tell you... I AM FRUSTRATED!!! So, I found my passenger side forward control arm and ball joint assembly was popping and squeaking... replaced it. So far the struts I replaced (twice), forward control arm ball joint assembly. I se No movement in anything else. Went as far as disconnectin the sway bar link... no change. I am ready to set this car on fire.
  2. I have installed hundreds of quick struts over the years and have had only a couple be bad out of the box. Recently my DS spring broke on my 2011 Fusion SEL FWD so I purchased a set of Monroe quick struts. I am having the same issue as Lunareclipse02. First set, passenger side knocking like crazy over small road imperfections. Checked out EVERYTHING. Then I thought I would put the original passenger side ( known good strut ) and guess what.... noise is gone. So I warrantied the strut. Put the new one in and the noise is back. Put original strut back on... NO NOISE! I say these struts assemblies are crap or they have a bad batch. So I contacted Monroe to find out if they have had any complaints.... of course not. They will be sending me yet another strut assembly. If this one is crap I will be getting a refund.
  3. I fit a optima battery in my 2012 3.0 with no mods.
