I have a 2016 Fusion that did not come with remote start from the factory. On my 2014 Explorer, I had to buy two keys that had that feature in them; have them cut and then the dealer hooked their computer up and turned the remote start feature on within the vehicle. Worked great. Can I do the same on the 2016 Fusion? I.E., buy two keys that have the remote start feature built in; have the key cut/assigned to the vehicle and then have the dealer "turn on" the remote start feature in the car? Or, do I need to buy extra parts to make this happen? Thanks! Shumax

Why is the job so expensive on this vehicle? Normally, I'm used to $100/strut and about $50/shock. That's $300 and then $300 in labor, so $600. Thoughts? Thanks!

2010 Sport with 112k. What should I expect to pay for the shocks and struts to be replaced, including all the mounts/strut bearings, etc? Local Firetone is telling me $1,200. Ford needs $1,600. I am not able to do it myself right now. Thoughts on these prices? Thanks! Curt

I am about to take on a 2010 Sport and was looking at the receipts and the following repair was made. What is this? "IDS TEST CODES P0119-1289 -PINPOINT TEST, DATA LOGGER, PINPOINT TO CHT BAD. REMOVED LOWER INTAKE TO GAIN ACCESS TO CHT SENSOR. REFILLED, RESTEST, PASS. The work included 2 intake maniford gaskets, a sensor assembly, 4 other gaskets, a seal and anti-freeze. The repair was close to $600 and occurred at 47,151 miles. It has 52,000 on it now. Thanks!

I'm not a fan of the red inserts around the radio, or even on the dash above the glove box. Are there options out there to change that to carbon fiber, or even a nice matte black? Wild card - how about to get rid of the red inserts on the seats? Obviously, I am buying this used. Love the car otherwise... Thanks!

I am trading my 2008 SAP SEL V6 that has a set of 16" rims and snow tires for a 2010 Fusion Sport. Will the snow tires and rims that fit the 2008, fit the 2010 Fusion Sport? Thanks!

Well, I found a solution and I am thrilled! My company has a close working relationship with the dealer we use. They have agreed to let me order the 2008 SEL V6 with the Sport Appearance Package with CLOTH interior. When the car arrives, they are going to take those seats out and put in charcoal LEATHER seats -- front and rear. I had to pay a couple hundred extra above what the leather from the factory goes for, but that's not a big deal to me to get red of those ugly red inserts. I also lose the red sticking -- again, oh well. I really wanted the wheels, sport suspension, black chrome grill and that lip spoiler. So, I got: 2008 Ford Fusion SEL V6 6spd automatic transmission Black exterior color *Charcoal cloth interior color 14T Sport Appearance Package 50E Moon & Tune 43P Reverse Sensing system 46A Heated Front Seats 613 Traction Control Should be here in 6-8 weeks!! :happy feet: I'll be tinting the side windows 50% and the rears about 20-35%. Outside of that, I'm going to apply the 3M clear bra to the front and sit back and enjoy! Thanks for the help, everyone!

Thanks for the reply. I'm sort of in a bit of a bind b/c it's a company car so I can't be playing around with it. I'd need for it to come stock to me. I wonder if I could talk the dealer into swapping some Edge wheels on it? I don't care about the suspension bits, to be honest. Any other photos out there?! Thanks again!

I am about to purchase a 2008 model -- I can't find an 07 that I like, or I would get that model year. I noticed the addition of a performance package that I like a lot -- EXCEPT for the red leather inserts. Perhaps I am getting old at 30, but it doesn't look that great to me. I love the wheels, the spoiler, "tuned suspension, etc." Does anyone know if you can get the car without those seats? Has anyone seen this package in person? Any photos out, other than the one's from Ford's press release? Thanks for the help!
