  1. Well, 08Fusion is right...but let me add a little detail that might help... Start at the very bottom of the trim panel. Push up on the panel where it curves under the radio to release the bottom clips. Pull out slightly. Once this is done, just pull at the left and right sides to release the clips there. Be aware that the buttons (and probably the clock if you have one) are attached to the trim panel and will come loose with it. Once the side clips are loose, the top two clips should be pulled out fairly easily. DO NOT use tools to do this...none are needed and why take the chance of cuts, dings, scratches and the like. Good Luck! Best, Michael
  2. I did a quick Google search for H11 headlight bulbs and came up with quite a few sites...This is one that seemed to be reasonably priced. I used these in my 2004 Kia Optima and it was the only bulb that would last for me...http://www.luminicsusa.com/bulbdetail.asp?p_number=LW-H11F&cYear=06&cMake=Ford&cModel=Fusion (sorry, you'll haave to C&P, I haven't figured out how to hyperlink on the site yet) Check the site out as they offer a lot of color options besides the link above...prices seem fair too... jshani, As a comment on the 20's...When I picked up my Fusions, the dealer had an 07 SE he had put 20's on...in my opinion, the 20's were a bit too much for the car...it just didn't look "balanced" anymore....I have seen several sporting 18's that looked sharp, but like I say, the 20's just seemed out of place on the car... for what it's worth... All my best Michael
  4. Okay, I have to admit, I'm intrigued by this option, but I can't find anything more than just the very basic information for the system. Does anyone have it? I know it's bluetooth, but I really want to know the specifics of how the unit interfaces with the stereo and also if it has any limitations based on the wireless carrier used (I know it shouldn't matter, but who knows...) I can't find any details on the system on Ford's site or the manufacturers (PEIKER ACUSTIC INC.). Any info at all would be appreciated... Oh, I guess it would help if I said what I'm looking for, huh? 1. How many phones will it support? 2. Does it use voice tags to identify numbers, or strictly voice recognition of numbers as you say them? 3. Does the "car" store any information, or does the phone have to store it all (I can only have about 12 voice tags on my nokia phone)? Things like that All My Best Michael
  5. Hey, Welcome aboard! Pretty new to the board myself...hope you find it as helpful as I have...some good ppl here too.. All My Best Michael
  6. LOL Well Dan, I'm about 5 hours south of there...little town right at the San Diego / Riverside county lines called Temecula. Great "little" community, but growing way too fast!! I think I have five different tribal casinos within fifteen miles of me (Pechanga is just down the street), so I haven't taken the drive up your way in quite a few years.... All My Best Michael
  7. TheChosenOne, Hey, for what it's worth... Both the fusions I picked up last month came with the factory installed spoiler (that's what sold the cars for me...really makes the cars stand out)...I live in SoCal, so the auto laws seem to be about the strictest in the US (especially smog)...both cars DO NOT have the third brake light on the back...the rear panel doesn't seem to have a filler either, so you might possibly be able to get one w/o the holes through Ford (I don't know if it would be worth the cost or not, but they look good). Back to the point...all I have is the light in the spoilers, so taking away the third brake light (so long as the spoiler is lighted) should be fine... Oh...if the spoiler is the same height as the factory one, it should not be in your line of sight out the back window...I don't see it at all as I look back... Enjoy your ride! All My Best Michael
  8. Hey Double Vision, that looks great! I LOVE the hood, BTW...didn't get a chance to comment wen you first posted it... I haven't done anything w/ my two Fusions besides put the license plates on them...well, not quite true...I did have the windows tinted. I went back and forth over the tint for the front two because California law states no tint at all in the front, so I went with 15%...still looks really good. Where are you finding all the "goodies" at? Thanks for sharing! My Best Michael
  9. Hmmm.... ppl from all over....SoCal here...between San Diego and LA on the I-15... Too damned expensive here!! LOL All My Best, Michael
  10. LOL Yes, that would be a pair of 2.3's...not as bad as I thought they might be, as I can still "get around" in traffic on the I-405 in the afternoon (boy does the MPG take a dive when you do...) My Best Michael
  11. Mine is the Red Fire Metallic (can you say "ticket magnet?") My wife's is the Tungsten Silver Metallic...this color is awsome...it takes on a "purple" hue when the sun goes down...very sharp!
  12. LOL I understand that Dan...the SE is the mid grade model...some nicer features, but not loaded. The only options beyond the SE package we got were the spoilers (they were already on the cars). Yes, they are the I4. The last two cars were 6's...I really enjoyed the horsepower, but the gas milage was killing me (I'm in SoCal, so we pay WAY TOO MUCH for gas (not as bad as 'Frisco tho...). I will post pics ASAP...Thanks for the welcome...very nice to meet you... All My Best Michael
  13. Hello... Well, the wife and I went to the local Ford dealer on Aug 4th. To look at the Fusion as it was probably the only car that we both liked. My 2004 Kia Optima had 196,000 miles on it and Mrs. 1998 Contour (Duratec V6...sweet car) had 127,000 and was getting very tired (actually, I was tired of spending every weekend under the car). So, we ended up taking home 2 2007 SE's. What a great car! I am very happy with mine and the wife loves hers. I've already discovered the cartridge filter (I ALWAYS change the oil after the first 500 miles on my new cars). Knicked the case a bit using water pump pliers on it, but got it off and back on okay...guess I better get the filter wrench, huh? Anyway...just wanted to share...the cars are great...I'm averaging about 30 MPG already (mix of freeway and city driving)...turned 1,200 miles on mine today. Oh, before I forget...the wife's is silver and mine is red...both have the rear spoiler...really adds a lot to the look of the car and for $240.00 with perfect factory paint match, well it was a good deal. Off to the local tint shop this weekend to see what they look like with the proper tint on the windows... All My Best to All Michael
