  1. Thanks for the help everyone. Ok, I'm looking at the owners manual which is here: manual (See page 20) I don't see anything listed as "PCM". What on this list would be considered the PCM? Also, not knowing the problem was so serious, a local mechanic who doesn't work for Ford did the work on my Fusion. If this is covered under my warranty, can I get reimbursed from Ford if they didn't do the work? Thanks.
  2. I own a 2008 Ford Fusion 6 cylinder with 53,000 miles and had no problems until the other day. I was just thinking of how good the car was performing. I started the car, got on the road and suddenly the car started to sputter and it almost died on me. The engine light came on. The entire car vibrated while idling and when I would accelerate the power was not there. Luckily I was able to get it to a mechanic. He did a test and found out it was a coil and it had exploded. It also destroyed the computer it was linked to. He spoke to the local Ford dealership and they recommended changing all 6 coils and the computer. My cost is $1800. I must say I'm very disappointed with my Fusion now. I have always owned foreign cars until I purchased this Fusion and to have this happen at only 53,000 miles makes me lose confidence in this car. Of course my warranty is expired so I will get no help with the cost. This is probably the last Ford I will own.
