    2007 Ford Fusion SE
  2. I have an 07 ford fusion se. it has about 67,000 mi on it. it has a 2.3 liter engine, if that's important. I replaced the upper and lower control arms on the front passenger side around February. now there's a pop or click sound on the front driver side whenever I make a bumpy right turn. its not a continuous pop/click sound. it does it once as I'm turning and then once more as my steering wheel turns back to the left. it doesn't do it when I'm going over a bump and driving straight forward. can anyone please help me and tell me what could be wrong and how much it would cost to repair it? I just hope it's not the other set of control arms, then ill have to pay another $900. thank you in advance!

  4. I have an 07 fusion se, 2.3 liter, 4 cylinder engine that puts out 160 hp. It also has 67,700 miles on it, if this info would help any. When I wanna accelerate, I have to push down on the gas pedal fairly hard then it'll accelerate pretty good but not very fast. I almost have to floor the pedal in order to get it really going fast. My mom has a '10 camry n her car accelerates when you barely tap the gas pedal, as other cars tend to do. I was wondering if there's something wrong with my fusion or not. I know my fusion isn't the fastest car nor a powerful car (160 hp), but could someone please assure me nothing is wrong with my car. Thank you so much!
  5. Thank you guys for your help! I called Ford and they said that I do need to replace the whole control arms and they quoted me between $1300-$1400. I went to independent repair shop n they got the control arms from Ford and charged me $850. It's been 2 days since the repair and I don't hear that squeak anymore! Again, thank you gentleman for your help!
  6. I have an 07 fusion se with 61450 mi. I found out I need both upper and lower front bushings replaced. The mechanic said the bushings can't be replaced alone. Instead I need to replace both control arms. He quoted me at $985. Does that sound fair. It's an independent repair shop. Thank you.
  7. Thank you but I already told those four places about the tie rod, joints, and cv boot and joints but they all said they still look good. My struts were replaced but those weren't the problem either.
  8. I wrote my problem here a couple months ago. Just to refresh. I got an 07 fusion se in summer of '10. It's a 2.3 liter and has approximately 61,470 mi. In the winters of '10 and '11, there was a squeaking noise under my front passenger tire when I go over bumps or in holes. Now there's a squeaking sound I'm my steering column when I make turns. Ford, pep boys, and brake masters (2 locations) have no idea what the problem is. All 4 places said my car looks in excellent condition. I'm getting frustrated with this. Anyone have clues as to what's causing it? Also, how much would it cost if choose to replace the eintire front axle n steering column? Also, my maintenance warranty will expire next year so any ideas how much my oil changes will be? Thank you for your time and help!
  9. Also, last year it was doing it but this year there's a squeaking sound inside/under the steering wheel when I make a right turn. Could it be my rack and pinion? If so, how much does it cost to repair it? Also, why does it only do it when the outside temperature is cold?
  10. Hello! My name is TJ and I have an 07 fusion se. I've been doing research for a while because my car has a problem that seems like everyone is having also. I have this annoying squeaking sound under my front passenger tire. It only does it at slow speeds less than 35 mph. When I make a right hand turn, it makes this hard grind sound. It doesn't grind like it's going back and forth. It just makes one loud grind. And the tricky thing is, it only does it in cold weather. Ford can't find anything wrong. Jiffy lube can't either. Brake masters lubed the entire under chasis but it's still doing it. Please help me! Thank you. My car is at 60382 miles.
