  1. Hello, I have a 2010 Fusion SE with factory installed fog lamps. I switched the fog lamps, low beams, and brights to HIDs about a year ago. I have never had any problems and the other day, my fog lamps stopped working. I checked the fuse and it was blown, replaced the fuse, they fired up for about 2 seconds and then the fuse blew again. I'm afraid that the harness for the lamps may be smoked. I haven't gotten a chance to go look yet. I have 35 watt ballasts so I did my best to make sure this wouldn't happen. I was wondering if anyone else had run into this problem and if there was a good fix for it? Thank you.
  2. Here's the ford part number AE5Z 19805 C. Warranty price was $80.44, so reatail is probably 90-100. Not much labor to install or you can easily do it yourself if you are out of warranty.
  3. Most likely a software issue. Have you checked for updates on syncmyride.com? That's a real good site for anyone that has questions about SYNC or any updates that are available.
  4. There is a courtesy wipe option that can be turned off if you don't like that. Also, the TPMS is annoying but has been federally mandated since 2006. Complain to your congressman I guess. Not that it would do any good in most places. The TPMS is supposed to go off + or - 7 PSI of what is listed on the door for most models.
  5. If it's a factory installed remote start, they do have an ambient temperature sensor that will have the heat settings come on in cold weather and cold settings come on in hot weather. Unfortunately, that's not an option for the fusion's yet. Apparently you can only get the remote start as an accessory on the fusion. My bad.
  6. It's actually temperature sensitive although ford never released at what temperature they turn on. Just at cold temperatures.
  7. Basically they reprogramed the APIM which is the processor for the radio. ISSUE: Some 2011 vehicles equipped with SYNC® may exhibit intermittent voice recognition: SYNC® is not listening/hearing commands, no response to voice commands or SYNC® responds voice commands not available with this device when using play artist/album/track commands. ACTION: Follow the Service Procedure steps to perform software update. SERVICE PROCEDURE Ensure that the Integrated Diagnostic Software (IDS) release is at 71.04 or higher, then close the IDS software. To perform the reprogram it will be necessary to follow the online version of the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 418-01 Accessory Protocol Interface Module APIM - Standard programming. Update the Consumer Interface Processor (CIP) software level to (AD) level suffix. WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage IMPORTANT: Warranty coverage limits/policies are not altered by a TSB. Warranty coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part
  8. I would say it might be a blower motor noise. Does it only do it on low fan speeds? Is it a clicking noise or a ticking noise? If it doesn't matter what speed its on, try switching from hot air to cold air back and forth and see if that makes it do it. If that makes the noise happen you might be looking at an acuator door noise. I know for the 2010's there is an updated blower motor and a special service message for the ticking noise at low fan speeds. But since you said it only comes on when you turn it on, and fan speed is not a factor try switching back and forth between cold and hot air and se what happens. Let me know what you think.
  9. Just to kinda clear that up...TSB's are not a warranty issue. They're kinda like a quick reference for a tech. It's like Ford enginers know about this problem is this is how you fix it. Yes, it is covered under your 3yr/36k warranty, but that's all. I would hate for anyone to get false hope.
  10. Hello all, New to the forum thing in general. I've had my 2010 Fusion since June of '09 I bought it brand new from the dealership at which I work. It is a 4cyl 6speed manual and I love it. It's sport blue with the steel wheels. SE with sync and rear spoiler. I've tinted the windows and added HID headlights, fog lights, and high beams. I'm excited to read some more posts from everyone. Every one seems to have somehting great to add to the conversations and I hope I can add my own input as well. See you around!
