  1. Look around for a local store that sell used rims. Years ago wife had an AWD Eagle Talon and needed winter tires, local store had some Cadillac rims that were the same (how I don't know) offset bolt pattern etc.. the Cadillac rims were much lighter and looked really sharp. Then wife curbed a rim and scraped it up pretty ugly since she did sales and had people in her car she wanted the rim replaced. I went back to the same place and purchased another full set of Cadillac rims for less than one factory one. When I sold the car I told the guy to make sure he brought a truck as we had 12 tires/wheels for the car.
  2. My wife is driving a new 2016 Fusion we just purchased about 1,000 miles on it and while she was driving down the highway today the power steering failed, she was able to get off the highway and turned the car off then back on and the steering seems fine. I have seen issues with the power steering for other years and some recalls but nothing for the 2016s. She does not have the auto park feature. I am pretty sure there are no stored codes since the check engine light did not come on a message about power steering did but she was busy trying not to crash the car rather than writing down the error message.
  3. What year is your car? I guess the plus side is you have a car to put miles on that does not affect you along with tires etc.
  4. yes need to find out if it is those files or all
  5. Do you have the files in the root directory or a folder, try creating a folder, also as stated above check the tags but they should be fine. Do you have the NAV screen I am not sure how non nav works, but I can see the file list what is that order on the screen? Did you try doing 4 songs and naming them 1000.mp3 1001.mp3 1002.mp3 and 1003.mp3 and see how they play?
  6. I think they mean post the topic to multiple boards at the same time. Bring the car to an auto parts store with a scanner and see what the code says.
  7. I had my dealer offer me a free window tint or clear bra due to some issues with delivery. They also said that with a lease window tinting is not a good idea, so we went with the clear bra. Turns out we have different definitions of what clear bra means. What does it mean to you? I am waiting for the customer service manager to get back from vacation, turns out window tint does not include the rear window?
  8. yes if you look there are 2 simple fixes one involves putting in a resistor to fool the AC temp sensor the other solution is to put in a new temp sensor in an easier location which makes sense if you live in a cold climate. I spent about 700 bucks to a shop to get it fixed because I did not search enough online or in the forums.
  9. has the transmission fluid been changed what is the mileage?
  10. 2007 Fusion with 109,000 miles for 2016 Fusion, dealer said the car had no value for trade in but sold it for 3500.00 after 1 day on Craigslist.
  11. To me it seems like a place for a lawyer but you could try the BBB first, but the dealer probably won't move on that, small claims is no lawyers, so any lawyer you hire will want to go to regular court to get his fees covered. If you can find a lawyer that will do it on a contingency go for it. If not work with one in small claims, but you are only entitled to an engine in the same condition as your old one, not a new or refurbished as that would be betterment.
  12. I had this issue with my wife's 2007, not sure if the solution is the same. There is a temp sensor under the dash when it fails it fails and reads cold, when it is too cold the AC will not run, everything else will check out fine. Watch this video here what a pain in the ass it is!!!! Here is the quick fix, newark electronics or arrow should have the resistor http://www.instructables.com/id/Quick-fix-workaround-Ford-Fusion-AC-evap-sensor/?ALLSTEPS Please let me know if this works I spent 700.00 on my wife's car because I did not search enough. there are also 2 ambient air sensors could not find much on them but says easy to replace http://www.fordfusionclub.com/212-interior-modifications/456857-dash-removal-ambient-air-temp-sensor.html
  13. For the battery this place here can provide a quote on checking the whole battery pack and replacing bad cells vs the whole pack http://www.thehybridshop.com/contact/locations/
  14. yes but you don't have the liability of pulling the fuse in case of an accident
  15. blow the fuse and put it back at least
  16. Here is the info I found from May 2015 • There is a danger from the air bags, but the odds are low. In crashes — and only in crashes — the Takata air bags can deploy with too much force, spewing bits of metal and plastic at the driver or passenger. Six have died worldwide and there have been about 100 injuries. But that number pales compared to the 33.8 million vehicles now included in the recall. Also, the risk is higher in areas with high humidity. http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2015/05/20/takata-air-bags/27671483/
  17. something like this might be useful https://www.amazon.com/Anti-glare-Protector-Dashboard-Navigation-Touchscreen/dp/B00OYFL1ZK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1469386577&sr=8-2&keywords=nushield
  18. Look don't think it is air temp sensor http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2012,fusion,3.0l+v6,3015604,engine
  19. Could it be the AC clutch?
  20. Did you see this post about the ABS module? http://www.fordfusionforum.com/topic/6499-help-with-brake-problem-please/
  21. Lifehacker and other sites s say 1/2 distilled water and 1/2 white vinegar with microfiber cloth works best http://lifehacker.com/5875667/how-to-properly-clean-all-your-gadgets-without-ruining-them
  22. Don't forget a major part of snow tires is their ability to grip in cold weather regular tires get pretty hard when it gets cold. I have always had AWD cars/SUVs until my latest. My wife had a 2007 AWD Fusion and we just picked up a 2016 AWD Fusion in snow it helps but even more so it helps in all weather like large puddles and just icy spots. I drive a CMAX Energi which is a very heavy car and a lot of weight on the rear with decent tires it does great in the snow but it is more an exception than most cars. My CMAX weighs 200 LBS more than my wife's Fusion, virtually all the weight is in the rear so it really helps in braking.
  23. Well as a lesson to others I had a 2007 AWD Fusion SE with the V6 for a trade one dealer offered 1K the 2nd said just keep it. I sold the car to the first person who, saw it for my asking price of 3500.00 the car had 110K miles and scrapes on front and rear bumpers, ( my wife parks by feel) the roof/ hood/trunk all had some hail damage tires are OK brakes done about 90K along with spark plugs and radiator and transmission at 100K.
  24. Nice deal, how much smaller is the trunk the hybrid has an odd shape due to the battery?
