First oil change at 1300 miles Fusion with 1.5 engine car sat a year at dealer before purchase used Castrol GTX 5w20 engine is much more quiet not knocking so loud now will replace oil soon with Castrol GTX 5w30 like the European Fusion uses. also used Ford Filter FL910S

I would check the camshafts and lifters on #1 cylinder maybe the cams are worn lots of miles! stuck Intake valve Pressure from leak down test hissing tru PCV? I would have the cam covers off by now.

I wish we bought the 2.5 powered car this Knocking 1.5 Sucks

My 2019 with a build dated about 04/11/2019 had the PCM updated Early Jan 2020 I bought it new in Dec 2019 the car sat a long time at the dealer. So I guess my block is the Old Style?

We have a 2019 SE 1.5 with just at 1200 miles it knocks It’s not a tapping sound I installed a under hood cover that helped some While the vehicle had under 200 +- miles I didn’t hear any knocking I had the PCM recall done And noticed the knocking! I think the knocking is absent during closed loop and after warm up its there. I have filled up with 91 Octane gas and added a small bottle of Octane booster the knocking is not so loud now when engine is warm .

So iam on target for a 4,000 change soon then maybe to Syn/Blend or Full Synthetic

Hey thanks guy I found the OLM on the steering wheel ,check the oil life its at 53% with 3700 miles I will change oil when the weather gets a little in a few days calling for ICE tonight

I think it came with Syn oil my Fuson is an S model dont think it has a Brain to tell me about oil change. have to read the manual

I think XTR Castrol is NOT Synthetic Oil Iam sure you will need to use a Full Synthetic Oil like Castrol Edge 5W20 10W20 or any Good Shell Synthetic When I lived in Kuwait City for 6 Years I only used Synthetic Oil in my Mercedes and BMW even in my 1968 Ford GT It doesnt become thin in the Hot Desert like Regular Oil

Iam on the better side of 50 and was thinking the same thing will get a Filter and oil tomorrow if we dont get icy roads. Then change every 5,000 the car is highway driven only 50 miles per day.not very much stop and go at all. I change the Oil on my focus every 5,000
