  1. Looking into buying a transponder blank key to use for a hide a key under the car in case me or my wife looses our keys while out and about.. I have looked at the ebay options. Do they work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-PAIR-2-FORD-MAZDA-MERCURY-LINCOLN-CHIPPED-CHIP-TRANSPONDER-IGNITION-KEY-KEYS-/180820199174?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2010%7CMake%3AFord%7CModel%3AFusion&hash=item2a19b94706&vxp=mtr
  2. Debating with my deal......... 2010 Fusion SE Fleet vehicle 105k Highways miles Clean car no defects besides road chips 10k out the door with 3k warranty
  3. I always use armor all or turtle wax. Plastic is plastic, keep it moist with oil to avoid sun dammage from drying out.
  4. I just purchased a new updated blower motor for my 2010 manual control. It only cost $40.09, the squirrel cage is a lot firmer compared to my chirpy original. I hope this one last but I must admit $40 isnt bad and its very quiet!! Part numberAE5Z19805D
  5. I must admit you did a Damn good job!!!! Looks great!!! I am curious though can we have a side shot of the car so I can see all the body lines?!?!?
  6. Well I got in my new blower motor in today and istalled it. Well this new one is worse off than the original than I had. Why cant ford make a quiet blower motor??? Or is it just me?
  7. Thanks for your help!! I called another dealer and they told me what i needed to know. I ordered the new updated blower motor for $40. So I am a happy camper. Cant wait to install it so I can be at peace!!!
  8. I have a 2010 Ford Fusion with a chirping blower motor. My car is out of warranty and I want the part number for the updated blower motor. My nearest Ford dealer is being a dick and wont release part numbers. I just want to make sure that I am not ordering the same blower motor which I have and wanting to avoid this same problem over again. Thanks Guys!!
  9. I have the exact same issue out of my 2010 SE with single climate control. My car is out of the warranty range. So I tried and see if autozone would have a lifetime warranty blower motor. They ordered me one and it came in today. Well..... The one the ordered isnt even close to fit, theirs is much smaller. I believe it was for a 2009 Ford Fusion. So the looked at the part number off of my blower motor and he said there is no other company even making blower motors for us yet besides ford. I am not buying another OEM blower motor for it to fail again. I have seen some on Ebay which comes with a lifetime warranty for $50 not sure if it is worth the gamble..... Any input???
  10. I talked to a painter who is confident he can match them and have the paint to hold. So when I get some cash saved up I will paint them while I repaint my front bumper from high milage dammage, road chips and such. It will be good as new when done. Will add pics when I get it back.
  11. Well its funny you guys say that, I bought a polishing wheel with meguiars plastx. Spent hours polishing it and its starting to look better. You can still see where I used the fine grit sand paper with the Turtle wax kit. I am not sure how I misused this product followed the directions carefully and used a lot of lubricant which came with the kit while i was wetsanding. My plan is to keep on polishing and polishing to bring the life out of my headlights again. I assume the it was dry from the wetsanding. I talked to a professional he mentioned you should always polish after you sand them down liike that so i am surprized that turtle wax sold a kit like that. Well I learned my lesson not buying their products ever again. I added some photos you cant tell by the photos but the damage is worse in person of course. This is a pic of the damage after I have tried to polish it out for a while. Thanks for all your guys concern.
  12. well my headlights are now dammaged! They are all cloudy cant see through them. It looks as if it has a chemical burn to it. I have tried everything to fix it. The only thing that helps it is when its wet. So I applied a liquid polish and it makes look clear but as soon as you rub the polish off it comes back. Took it to a car wash, maybe the high pressure would clean off the chemicals. But no luck!! I am screwed. It will cost me tons to buy me new ones.
  13. I own a high milage 2010 Ford Fusion. My headlights has had some road wear and slight discolor which regular cleaning cant get off. So I decided to go to my local walmart and picked up Turtle Wax Headlight Restore/Cleaner. I followed the directions to every detail!!! When I was done my headlights looklike it had milk stains all over!!! It is a cloudy mess and looks like shit!!!! I am so so furious! I called turtle wax they wanted me to buy another cleaner. I said you want me to but another one of your products to fix what went wrong with your product. She replied you can request for a refund. Geeze thanks this makes it all better I get my four dollars back. DONT BUY TURTLE WAX!!!
  14. I have a 2010 Ford Fusion SE with the two tone color interior which is the medium light stone. I have noticed the driver side window switch panel is extremely faded and looks dirty. Also the switch that shuts off the other windows is rattling like crazy!!! If I hold it while I drive it does not make a noise when across bumps as soon as I let it go its continues like clockwork. I have tried to shim it up with electrical tape and it will be less noisy untill the e-tape rattles out. Any thoughts on this guys?? Do I need to purchase another one or can I just rigg this up some way. Also how can I resolve the discoloration? I am noticing the others are doing it too. Thanks, Drew
  15. Ebay. Prolly pick one up for $35 shipped
  16. Is there a cheap alternative to buy another factory looking grille besides chrome?? I priced out to have the grille and front bumper painted to match the body of the car and the cheapest estimate is around 1 grand. WOW too much money. The cheapest oem grille I found is $300 for all three pieces.
  17. Thanks for all your info. I bet your right they probably skiped out on the 105k service. Update on the car from the shop, The O2 sensor was definantly bad it had been warped for over heating for some odd reason.... The belt tensioner was replaced and the car is so much quieter and smooth. Now I am having issues with the blower motor squeaking in low speeds. Autozone has one for $60 with lifetime warranty, may pick it up. I think i may have better chances with aftermarket than a faulty factory issue.
  18. I took it to my local trusted mechanic and he found out that the idler pulley is bad and that the first bank O2 sensor has failed. The did a total check over and says its all in order. I purchased this one owner car from a drug rep company whome never turned this car off, they did a lot of highways miles, so i had no fear of the milage. The report says they did do schedule work to it at the dealer, the downfall the report only shows the milage and when and where it was serviced. The belt is new and the trans fluid looks to be mint. I am not sure on the spark plugs. Is there any way that ford can release info on what has been done to this car so I dont service the same thing over again?
  19. I just purchased a 2010 Ford Fusion SE with the I4. It was an high milage car with 108k on it, the price was too cheap to ignore for a 2010 model. I was wondering if anyone has had any major failures at this milage? I am trying to find out what I have to look forward to, I am praying this car is bullet proof and that I have no worries. Only issue I have occured so far is either the alternator or idler pulley has excessive whinning noise. Also the check engine light flickered due to O2 sensor failure. Any other issues would be great to hear about. Thanks
  20. Fill me in on this smoked grill and also the vinyl wrapped. Very new to all of this.
  21. I would enjoy for you to paint it for me, I live north kentucky I am sure you are nowhere close. Thanks for the offer!!
  22. Believe it or not I went to a trusted body shop in our community and he said there is no way he could paint over the chrome grille. He said for it to adhere properly all the chrome had to be removed and he said the labor will be more than I new grille. He quotes he has been doing it for 34 years and he knows what he is talking about. I think he is full of crap. His quote on just painting the front bumper is 450 kinda high I think
  23. I purchased an high milage 2010 ford fusion, it was too cheap to ignore. Great car but this car has many chips on the front bumper and pitting and cracking to the grill. Anyone know a cheap fix to the front grill. As in maybe painting to match body color or re chrome it. I am not wanting an aftermarket grill I want to keep it all stock. Any ideas or thoughts would be great. I attached a photo of the car, it is a distant photo cant see the dammage, sorry its the only photo I have. Thanks
