Called local dealer (whom I hate with a passion) and they wanted "about 38 bucks" to change oil and filter. So I read these posts and decided to change my own oil and filter. Bought two filters at Wal-Mart awhile back for about $4 each and bought some Ford Synthetic Blend oil at same time just in case I did it myself. Cost oif oil anf filter was about $14-$15. Raised front end and installed jack stands. Found cover for oil filter and one for drain plug. Removed same. Dealer I got Milan from did first one for free and a gorilla must have tightened both filter and drain plug. Finally got past that. Rest was simple. I must admit I was a little fearful of the cartridge filter but it is a peice of cake. I changed both rings but it did not seem necessary. So from now on I will change the Milan's ('08) oil and filter. But I want to buy a filter wrench as my old arthritic hands can't grip so well now day.

So, tell me more about this mount. Where did you get it? Cost? etc...

I wish the Ford/Mercury dealer here would do the same. The are the worst I have ever dealt with.

Got the Milan and it came with factory Siruis radio. It just griped me that I had no choice in the matter unless I factory ordered a new vehicle. Anyway Sirius is okay but I won't be paying for it after the "free" six months as I don't use that much and I like to listen to my own CDs anyway while driving. LOVE THE MILAN! Averaging around 27 mpg in my first 1000 miles (got it Jan 29th).

I took a couple months choosing the Milan i4 premier as i too want my card to last. Started looking athe fusion but the wife, and I also, liked the looks of the Milan a little better. In almost three weeks of ownership I have no regrets. I keep my cars until they die so I hope to keep this one along time. And from I have read it looks like I will. We got a moss green Premier I4 with camel interior (leather natch), moonroof and auto tranny. The upgraded sound with the moon and tune option is pretty nice. Still deciding if SIRIUS radio is worth getting adfter the six month "feee" subscriptioin.

Well, I guess those questions about the V6 filter and so on were moot as I finally got a 4cyl Milan last month. So not I will be changing the "carttidge" filter from now on.

Thanks. That is pretty much what I finally figured out. Hopefully tomorrow I can check one out at he dealer's lot. I used to be 6'2" but have shriveled down to just over 6' . Getting old is hell.

Read somewhere where the moon roof decreases head room in the Milan (Fusion too, I guess). Anybody know for sure?

Thanks for answering. Actually I DON"T WANT Sirius. It is just $200 extra. And I would not use it after the 6 month "free" use. I havealready refused to conider a Fusion with the Sirius already installed. So I am limiting my choices to non-sirius Fusions.

Looks like I may have to get a SIRIUS radio to get the option(s) I really want. Does the SIRIUS radio in the SEL have 6 CD changer like ths "stock" SEL radio system?

Tried to read d/lded manual abut spare tire. Sez "If you have disimiliar...." Not sure what they are sying. So what is the spare tire on the Fusion? Probably picking mine up Friday if all goes well. Getting SEL I4 5A leather seating.

Downloaded the factory manual. I see there are two keys available. With remote lock/unlock and without. Anybody bought either key? I will want an extra key that I can program it right away in case I lose one as it takes two programmed keys to program a new one. Cost $$$ for dealer to do it and it is simpe to do.

I haven't instaled one but the instructions mention drilling on two and one mentiones notchingthe fascia.
