  1. I used to have the 55w 5k hids from retro solutions and the ballast kept going out everytime I replaced it. It was always the passenger ballast. It varied on how long a ballast would last. I was told it was the car that was ruining the ballast. Weird thing is, when I sent the ballast in to retro solutions covered under a "lifetime warranty", they said the ballast was working fine and sent it back. Just a heads up they do charge you if they determine it is in working condition. So everytime I got a ballast back I would plug it in again to see if it did work, it didn't. Eventually I decided to remove them and go back to regular headlights which are awful but less troublesome.
  2. I haven't had a problem at all since I got my Fusion last May.
  3. Do I need to choose the vehicle application option in order for it to work right in my fusion? Also should I add bulb capping? Not sure really what it does. I'm doing the headlights right now, but soon I will put in foglights.
  4. I've heard that roof racks are bad for the weatherstripping (creates a gap in the door), is that true?
  5. No problem, and yeah i've mainly heard that people have issues with iPhones and older less popular phones. The S3 is one of the best on the market so it's pretty much guaranteed to work. imo
  6. Yes it is, I have the S3 and everything works fine. There's no reason why phones these days won't work with sync as all phones now have bluetooth. I would deffinelty go ahead with getting the S3, it's a beast.
  7. Took it in today and got the same response, as well as automakers can't make a perfect car and there's no solution. Come to find out the guy who told me about the kit didn't know there were airbags in the a pillar. The "mechanic" just told me to turn the volume down and the bass. The guy was an idiot, I guess he didn't realize that's hard to do when you have a system that can handle it, but the interior panels can't.
  8. Sweet, thanks for the info. I have a black interior as well and have tint so it should look sick. After doing the interior, I may do the exterior. Did you to touch the headlights? I love the taillights so those are gonna stay stock for sure.
  9. What stage did you go with? I'm thinking about going with Stage 3 white, but i'm worried it will be extremely bright. Also did you do your whole interior, and was the installation straightforward?
  10. I have the same problem with my 2012 Fusion SEL. I went to the dealer and talked to them about it. They said that ford does make a Rattle/Vibration kit for the A-Pillars and such. It's free as long as you're still under the warranty. I will be taking it in to get taken care of, as soon as I get time.
  11. It says I have the latest version on ford's site, but my car says im at 4.0x. I did notice that it does mention gracenote in the information screen, but I haven't figured out how to get to it.
  12. Went to the dealership today and they said there is no 5.1 update. I also went and clicked on the link in the OP and it says product not found. Any ideas on what is going on?
  13. Anyone know if I should have gotten or can get the upgrade at no cost since my car was built at the end of April and I took delivery in May? I feel since I already payed a lot for the car and waited months, that I should get this update at no additional cost.
  14. It ended up taking 9 weeks for my car to come in, and then I had to wait till the next week to pick it up since they were so busy, or so they said.
