  1. Looks good. Weird license plate though. :P
  2. Correct. The part was billed out as a no charge to customer. First time we had to order one and have the customer come back the next day. Explained to customer that this was a unique and rare circumstance. After that they were in stock. Warranty dispatcher billed it as internal because we felt there was no way Ford would pay for a "tech mistake." Turns out the techs may not have been negligent.
  3. Magnaflow users. Particularly those in winter states that come into daily contact with road de-icers. How are your Magnaflows holding up? I was under the impression these units are stainless and should not rust. However, are any of you guys getting corrosion or discoloring of the components?
  4. Check your air filter. Ford book says change every 30K, but in my experience they don't flow that well much after 15K. The air filters are yellow, even the aftermarket ones so shining a light doesn't light well through. Pull through and examine the pleats if they have dirt in every one, it's time to change. On a recent highway trip I couldn't get over 30mpg on mine. Checked the air filter, didn't look so bad, checked the pleats, sure enough it was time to change. Popped in a new air flter, got 31mpg on the trip home on winter blend E10 at below freezing temps.
  5. There's an auxillary coolant pump that is electric to keep heat going when in EV mode. I had a customer's hybrid that wasn't getting power on the circuit that powers that pump. If you have the engine up to temp and you have the heat on and go to idle, once the gas engine shuts off, does it blow cool air?
  6. Uh oh, guess wasn't the only dealer to see this. Even my Technician (read not the Quick Lane kid) who uses a torque wrench to tigthen lug nuts broke one on a customer's during their first service. He was pissed and perplexed to say the least.
  7. Get it to your dealer to check out. The blower motors are on backorder for a reason unfortunately.
  8. NICE! That is how it should be! Unless you're an 06 or 07 Job1 owner...
  9. Do you have to cut into the exhaust and weld for an axleback?
  10. Agree, OEM is the only way to go and this is coming from a guy with OEM, independent and dealership shop experience. The Ford pads are ceramic to begin with and they are designed to last unlike the aftermarket. I did my rears at about 77K. Could have pushed it a little further I guess, and I still have plenty of life left on the fronts. OEM! OEM! OEM! :roses:
  11. Approx. 7K on my rears. No problems thus far. Haven't noticed if wheels are dirtier or not. Shouldn't be, went with Ford OEM pads since they lasted so long to begin with.
  12. As a dealership employee, I know this answer to this, and so do you OP.

    Hood Ajar?

Yeah, that's a weird one. I had a '10 Focus at work that came in for that concern. Door ajar light on, but all doors and trunk closed. Had a bad hood switch. As well, had an older Explorer that came in because the door ajar light would come on and the interior lights would come on at times while driving. Turned out to be a bad hood switch too. Odd thing was that the tech was able to use IDS to see that there was a code for that switch too.
  14. 2002 Kia Rio What I miss Had a rod shifter linkage instead of a cable shifter ala Fusion. (Snapped a cable shifter in an SHO before, not fun) 40+MPG The fact that the vehicle would have been paid off years ago versus still 12 months out with FMCC still... What I don't miss Not a very good looking vehicle Not having a trunk release button inside. You had to open the trunk with the key! Did not have remote keyless entry (FOB).
  15. Yeah, it's your boy Dyoct back in da house! Miss me? Cuz now I'm here to wreck shit up! BOOYEAH! Ok, now seriously. Nice changes around here. Keep up the good work Lane or whomever is in charge now.
  16. It could also be a normal operating characteristic. All vehicles exhibit NVH characteristics that can only be dampened, not eliminated.
  17. I could have waited 3 years and had the same car with enough leftover to start modding...
  18. It's an automatic... floor gas pedal, take a nap for 15.7 seconds, reach end of quarter mile. That's pretty lame though. My 92 Taurus with a worn out clutch and half a liter less can do better. 15.2@92mph. Good to know if I meet up with the Sport I see on my daily commute at times can be taken down.
  19. BMW in Greenville, SC? As for K&N. I used that shit in high school back in the day. Now I don't. I've personally seen how many problems those filters created for vehicles. There's a reason those things need to be packaged in plastic bags....
  20. And the way these cats are configured, you can't use universal replacements anymore. You're looking at all out replacements of pipe assemblies at times that are big bucks!
