  1. I just had both driveshafts replaced and I think the noise is back. But it only happens between 40- 55 MPH. Just praying it is not the PTU.
  2. So I got the SCT in the mail and put on the 89 performance tune. Crazy what a difference this makes. The only comparison I can think of is how much a CAI and Magnaflow did not do a whole lot in my 2005 Colorado and how much this does to this Fusion. Makes me feel dumb for not doing it on the truck. I did have a few questions about the SCT (which I will probably call Steeda about). I was rifling through the few options I have and noticed the rpm limiter was set to 7000 in drive and neutral, this worries me because I thought max rpm is 6550? My question I guess is does everyone use this feature or does the tune that I cannot access take care of this. Also If I lowered the max to 6550 would that screw the tune up? Also, I have not tried the 93 yet but plan to tomorrow, has anyone had any issues with getting ping on a 93 tune? I guess my question is, is the Steeda tune real aggressive? I know these are all questions that probably need to be directed to them but just checking to see with some guys that have been running a 93 tune.
  3. Mine is an 2007 SE AWD and has every option my wifes 2007 SEL had except the clock and climate control. Mine has the stereo, moon roof, leather, etc.
  4. I just ordered my SCT programmer with an 89 tune and a 93 tune. I have never ordered a tune before but since I decided to keep the car and not buy a new one yet (Saving for big down payment on new Legacy, Fusion, Optima, Altima, etc etc in 2014) I wanted to perk my car up to give me that spoiled feeling again. Hopefully this does the trick, along with making 2-3 a little smoother! I got it through Steeda, should be at my house tomorrow as I am impatient, don't mind paying for fast shipping, and have an ass load of stuff to do with the kids on Friday.
  5. I believe it was only half in the front and the whole rear driveshaft. But I may be wrong, which is sad but. I paid 300$ for the front and 1000$ For the rear.
  6. I have had to replace every part in the Drivetrain except the Engine and this. I suppose this is next. I have 91k miles on mine and I had both driveshafts replaced two weeks ago because of the "whirring" issue. Noise is almost gone but not completley, and my mechanic thinks that this part is the issue.
  7. Hello Everyone, Just saying hi, I have been looking into doing a few minor things to my Fusion so I have been creeping your boards for a while. My wife and I have owned 2 2007 Fusion and still own one. We had a V6 SEL FWD and still have a 2007 SE AWD. I must admit I have some major problems with My AWD one. I have had to replace the tranny, both driveshafts, a PTU, and a door handle all just out of warranty. But I must say I still love the car but I would guess everyone can understand the bitterness of having to put almost 6k into a vehicle that had 73k when the problems started. The FWD had no problems when we traded it at 110k except that it ate tires. (I think it was an operator issue, shh told tell my wife I said that) Anyway done with the rant, I have fixed every issue and the car is running like a major champ, also did the scheduled plug and rear end maintenence. I run completley stock at the moment and really almost want to continue to do so. But this SCT tuner has me thinking. from what I see its alot of bang for the buck. If anyone runs an 89 octane tune I would love to hear what you think. Also I can't find Dune Pearl touchup paint to save my life. Other than that I will talk to all of you soon. Thanks
