You might be confusing auto hold with hill assist. Hill assist will keep the vehicle from rolling backwards when you take your foot off the brake. But only on a hill. Auto hold is what you want and it will work all the time if you have that feature, check the owners manual. Although I don’t understand why you can’t keep your foot on the brake for a few seconds at a traffic light. Auto hold is most useful in heavy stop and go traffic.

Yes you can program it yourself but follow the instructions in the owners manual. It wont mess up the current keys.

Why do people buy cars without features they really want? I never understood that. You could go aftermarket but the dash surround will be a pain. You can upgrade to sync 3 with a turnkey system but it’s expensive - $1500-$2000 and I don’t know if that includes the dash trim. Or you could find the used components yourself and install it but then you have to get the sync 3 software installed and updated. Do a google search - I’m sure lots of folks have done this or at least discussed it. Good luck.

Well I’m having a hard time figuring out how those two fluids are mixing. They’re totally separate closed systems.

Sounds like you added the transmission fluid to the engine oil by accident.
