That should work - I don't think Ford changed the Fusion bus until 2010. But if it came with subwoofers then you'll have the same issue needing the external amp and subs. On my 2006 I had subwoofers on the rear package shelf (part of the "audiophile" system).
  3. akirby's post in autolock not locking door on interior of car was marked as the answer
It's not only normal and expected, it's actually a safety feature. It allows you to get out of the car in an emergency without having to unlock the doors first. It's also really handy in non-emergency situations.
  4. akirby's post in 2.3 liter coolant temperature--212 degrees? was marked as the answer
Sounds like it's working perfectly. If the thermostat was closed it would overheat rapidly. Of it was stuck open it wouldn't get up to temp. If there was an air bubble it would either overheat or appear to overheat when the air bubble and steam hit the temp sensor.

  6. akirby's post in Beeping Horn when you leave car running was marked as the answer
No it can't be switched off. It's telling you that you removed the intelligent access key from the vehicle while it's still running. It thinks you may have dropped off the person with the IA key and doesn't want you to be stranded when you shut it off later.

    There are 3 easy workarounds,

    Leave the door open
Leave the fob in the vehicle.
    Turn it off.

Not on the S models. SE and higher only.

I've never heard of "bands and clips" being different on different wheels on the same vehicle (or even between vehicles of the same year). Maybe they were referring to TPMS sensors but I think those are all the same now.

  10. akirby's post in Transmission Fluid: How to was marked as the answer
It's far easier to let the dealer do the flush - about $175 I think including the new fluid.

You can do it yourself by disconnecting the 2 lines going to the cooler and attaching rubber hoses going to clean 5 gallon buckets - one for old and one for new fluid. Just make sure the one with new fluid doesn't run dry. Once the intake hose is submerged in new fluid just start the car and let it run until new fluid comes out the discharge line. Then top off to the correct level. Or you can just pour new fluid in through the dipstick tube as it empties out of the cooler line.

    Here is a video.

You should have a green icon on the lower left that tells you when the headlights are on.
  12. akirby's post in Q2 incentives? was marked as the answer
I have NEVER seen any advance notice on incentives - they protect that stuff better than the NSA. The dealers certainly don't know. Your dealer should have give you the option of locking in rebates at time of order so you get the choice of what was there when you ordered or what's in effect at time of delivery.

BTW - incentives are not quarterly. They vary by vehicle.
