  1. Got my Sport back yesterday afternoon. Here's the result:
  2. Speaking of Ford paint issues - we all know Ford's paint issues are well documented.... I posted my issue on several Fusion forums and on the Fusion Facebook groups. On the FFC forum, one of the members replied with what he did to fix the rust/paint bubbles on his Redfire 2009 Fusion SEL back in 2010: http://www.fordfusionclub.com/showthread.php?t=371565&highlight=rust Then I came across this article: http://ipaimpress.com/peeling-paint-ford-vehicles/ Which then I watched this video from NBC5 Chicago: http://www.nbcchicago.com/video/#!/news/business/Car-Owners-Upset-About-Bad-Paint-Jobs/130175933 And there's a Facebook Group Page which I joined: https://www.facebook.com/groups/94328817418/ I just wanted to share. Thanks for viewing!
  3. Nick - probably not as your car is 5 years old and it has 95K miles. But keep an eye out for my next post...
  4. Got my Sport back yesterday. Door is all fixed.
  5. The evening of May 9th, I prepped my car for two car shows for the weekend. I picked up The Chemical Guys BUF_209 detailing kit from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Chemical-Guys-BUF_209-Detailing-Accessories/dp/B003UW1IQU/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1399993441&sr=8-5&keywords=porter+cable+7424+xp I used Croftgate's Aquanil to wash the car. Then I used Meguiar's Clay Kit. The next step I used my brand new Porter Cable 7424 DP DA polisher with the orange cutting pad to apply Croftgate's Step 1 Compound. Once the entire car was done I followed up with Croftgate's Step 2 Polish using the white polishing pad. Once that was completed, I followed up with Project X, Quick n Slick and then Last Detail. While at Saturday's show, I used Tire Shine on the tires and Quick n Slick on the wheels. Unfortunately I don't have any before, during and after pictures as I finally finished the car at 4am LOL! All the hard work paid off at Saturday's UTI Torque Meet Show as my car was unexpectedly selected to win an award! Here's some pics: That's CrofgateUSA! The second car show of the weekend was the ChiTownMeets.com & BGV Motorsports Car Show/Meet Season Opener. Four of us relatively local Fusion owners met up and rolled in together. We did turn heads and people were taking pictures of our cars. We had a rather patriotic theme going with red, white and blue! Thanks for viewing!
  6. Super Six Motorsports increased their price to port the upper/lower intake manifolds to $500 US. Maxbore charges $99 to do the throttlebody.
  7. Bought my 2012 Sport brand new with just barely 400 miles on it back in January 2012. Currently has just over 54,400 miles on it.
  8. Congrats on the new ride! Have fun!
  9. Back in January I took my 2012 Sport to the dealer to get the "Check Rear Park Aid" error looked at. This is that they found: FORD OBD ERROR CODE C1706 - LEFT REAR CENTER SENSOR CIRCUIT FAILURE. VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO SENSORS BAD-OPEN AT SPLICE 423 BEHIND REAR BUMPER REPAIRED WIRING, RETEST, OK $297.50 in labor. I'm into my extended warranty now and paid the $100 deductible. No more issues. Now my car is back in the dealer getting this issue fixed: Initially the dealer told me that Ford wouldn't authorize the repair. To make a long story short, I escalated the issue to the Ford Service Facebook page where a Regional Customer Service Manager contacted me, had me go back to the dealer for an estimate (they have a body shop there), agreed to pay for the repair minus $100 and give me a free rental car. I hope to have my car back by tomorrow or Saturday.
  10. Yeah it is!! I've got the Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs and Bilstein HD shocks/struts on my 2012 Sport.
  11. BlackBetty - you're spot on with my power mods! I bought SlowLSJ's (from the FFC forum - not sure if he's on here) upper/lower intake manifolds and throttle body to have them ported but I haven't gotten them done yet. And thank you again!
  12. LordBruce - that's real impressive! My 2012 Sport almost has 55,000 miles on it. My previous car was a 1997 Nissan Maxima SE that had 248,000 miles on it before it died.
  13. Seth - BlueOval2010 has a 2010 Fusion Sport so the install would be different. BlueOval - I installed my Steeda CAI on my 2012 Sport two years ago. It's really straight forward.
  14. Welcome and congrats! Sharp looking car! Which brand lowering springs did you go with? And do you have any other plans for your Fusion?
  15. Welcome serial Fusion owner! Sorry to hear about your 2012 SE. But it's good to hear that you're dad was OK with only minor injuries. Do you have any plans for your 2014?
  16. Welcome to the forum! It's best to follow the maintenance schedules pointed out in the owner's manual. Do you have the owner's manual handy?
  17. BlackBetty - thanks man! You're car sounds real good after your exhaust mod!
