  1. How do I know if I have a "Power Button"?
  2. Hi, keep getting a voice message "GPS signal lost" on my 2019 Ford Fusion SE. Is this an issue in my phone, or with the Sync system, or a setting adjustment. I recently got a new Android phone, but this issue was happening even with my old phone. Any help would be appreciated. I did ask my local Ford dealer about this but was told I would have to make an appointment and drop it off for the day and have their Sync tech take a look at it. Which means I'll probably have to rent a vehicle, and I have a $100 deductible on my warranty plan. Not the best situation. Maybe there's something I can do myself. Thanks
  3. Thanks for the responses so far. I did forget to mention one thing though. Because I'm now totally out of Ford warranty, I checked with the dealerships F & I (Finance & Insurance) person (again a friend of mine as I've bought soo many cars at this dealership}. I was wondering if there was any kind of "extended" warranty available for my Fusion. Turns out there is something available which would cover major components (battery, a/c compressor, alternator, starter, etc. Available for 1 year at approx. $150.00 per month. Also covers roadside assistance. Did I mention that I have NO car payment, the car is paid off! Just concerned if I keep the car about future component expenses. Thanks again for any opinions. Thanks!
  4. I'm in a quandary about what to do. Hopefully I can get some constructive advice. Here goes: Three years ago, I bought new a 2019 Ford Fusion SE, AWD, with the 2.0 Eco boost engine. Aside from replacing the original tires at 40,000 miles, I have had basically no problems with the car. Here's my delima. I now have 98,000 miles on the car (yes, I do drive a lot). I am overdue for a new set of tires (I was quoted about $800.00 for a set of 4 at the dealership I bought the car from. Let me explain a little about that. I used to work at this dealership, so I am very comfortable with the service department, and the service manager (a friend of mine) tries to give me the employee discount whenever he can. Also, I have never put brakes on the car! I was told if I keep the car, I should do the following: Cooling system flush Transmission flush Replace spark plugs Fuel injection service 4 tires (possible 4-wheel alignment) Front & rear brakes (pads & rotors) I can have all of this done for about $3500.00 with my "employee" discount. Maybe a little less. I went down to the dealer today to look at buying another vehicle. I was thinking about a 2021 or 2022 Bronco Sport. Even with my Fusion trade-in, the prices are way too much, as I expected. The dealer did offer to buy my Fusion "as is" for $14,000. He knows me and knows my car and that I take excellent care of my vehicles. I am tempted to sell it, but then what? I can't afford another vehicle. I would maybe pick up a "daily driver" from a friend of mine who has a repair garage/used car lot for maybe $1500 to $2000. I love the Fusion, that's why I'm "torn" on what to do. Looking for advice from an impartial source. Thanks!
  5. SteveA27, could you please read my question in the General Powertrain Discussion Forum concerning my gearshift knob? Thanks, Turbotim88
  6. I have a 2018 Ford Fusion SE. I've been noticing lately that the gear shift knob at times seems to turn tight. It seems more apparent when the cart is "warmed up". First thing in the morning it seems ok. Just started doing this in the last month or so. Car currently has 24,000 miles. Any thoughts? I was going to bring it to my dealer to show them, but thought I'd ask you guys first. Thanks
  7. Yes, that's the site I was trying to think of (cotus.ford.com). Thanks, I'll try it.
  8. Wasn't there a site you could access to follow the progress of your ordered car? Can't seem to find it. I have a VIN# if that's required. Thanks
  9. Any idea when the dealers can start taking orders for the 2018 Fusion?
  10. My F&I guy is on vacation. How much does a wheel/tire warranty usually cost?
  11. Thanks for the info on the tire pressure question. I'll check the label on the door jam and adjust the pressure in the morning when it's cold, before I head out for the day. With my discount, a new rim at the Ford dealership will run me $455.00. I can get a tire for about $120.00. Haven't checked out a wheel repair price yet. Also found a new (aftermarket) rim for $255.00. So, a few options to decide on.
  12. I've never heard about this wheel/tire insurance option. I used to work at the Dealership I bought the car at, and know the F&I guy very well. Surprised he didn't mention it to me. When I see him again (soon), I'll mention it to him. I've worked at Ford Dealerships all my life (in the parts dept.), and I know thewre are "ways" to cover things like this. I looked at the rim again this morning, and it's not as bad as originally thought, but it is scraped. I think the tire is OK. By the way, without checking the Owners Manuel, what is the correct tire inflation? According to my vehicle display, I'm running 37 front & 41 rear tire pressures. Seems a little high. Thanks for your replies.
  13. I recently hit a curb with my '17 Fusion SE (1500 miles). Bruised the tire (no leaks), but scraped up the rim pretty good. Any way Ford will warranty the tire (and or) rim? Could be considerable "out of pocket money". Just wondering. Thanks
  14. Just picked up my 2017 Fusion SE with 18 miles on it. I'll update as time goes by.
