  1. The Audiophile system has 8 speakers and a separate sub amp. Front speakers are separates (tweeters near the side mirrors, woofers in lower door), rear speakers are full range, rear deck speakers are free air subs powered by their own amp.
  2. Wow! Great picture. Not sure I would chase storms in such a pretty car though!
  3. Well, finally had a chance to drive in the snow and I can say the Fusion with the 18" RSAs performed surprisingly well. There is still good tread on my tires, but I was out driving before the plows were out. We had quite a bit of snow by Norf Carolina standards.
  4. I had the same problem with my Acura TL. The folks over at Acurazine recommended 303 Aerospace Protectant and I have used it with great success. Whatever you do, DO NOT use Armorall; it only worsens the problem.

Welcome! What color is your new Fusion? I4 or V6? Pictures? Also, be sure to check out the Sync Forum.
  6. On the Armor All kit, everything should be fine except I would not recommend the Original Protectant. It looks great when first applied, but actually causes fading. Either Armor All needs to re-formulate for new materials or they do this on purpose to sell more Armor All. Can't say for sure. I'd recommend 303 Aerospace Protectant for the dash. It gives a dark, matte finish and does not cause fading. I have only found it at West Marine stores though.
  7. I have the 18" wheels with Eagle RSAs on my 2008 SEL but have not had a chance to drive in snow or ice (got it in March). Like you, I've noted the poor ratings for the RSAs. I didn't think they were too bad when the car was brand new, but as they have worn, I am not impressed with their wet traction which gives some indication of their ice/snow handling ability. I was going to replace them at some point -- once handling, noise or wear becomes unacceptable -- with Eagle F1 All Season which are VERY highly rated on Tirerack. Having had 18" wheels and performance tires on my last car (Acura TL) I can advise that it is quite possible to drive in light snow and ice with the proper performance tires. I had General Exclaim UHPs on the Acura. They have two fairly deep overlapping grooves that channel away water and light snow. However, if I still live in the north, I'd have a set of 17" wheels and better all season tires for the winter. As long as you use the correct tire size for the smaller wheels, everything will be fine (including speedo/ODO). Depends on your needs.
  8. Well, I am only 5' 10" and I had to special order my Fusion without the moon roof. You really must sit in the car and test it for yourself. You generally lose between 2 and 3 inches of headroom with a moon roof.
  9. Thanks for the review, One. Looks pretty easy to install. I want to add this and the Steeda mats, but have been waiting for the promised sport pedals to order.
  10. My remote trunk release requires 2 quick presses. Maybe it was changed for Job 2 '08?
  11. Not a lot of difference between 06 - 08 . . . mostly just different options (Sport Appearance Package, exterior colors, Sync, etc.).
  12. Is there no auxiliary input jack inside your center console armrest?
  13. Very nice. Is the stitching on the steering wheel also blue?
  14. Smoked side markers look great. What the heck happened with the dent? During the install? So sorry. The thing I like best about Vapor Silver is how good it looks with the 18" SAP wheels. They look like they were made to match. Vapor Silver would have been my first choice had my last car not also been silver.
