  1. Thank you for the detailed reply. Good to know the 2.5L still comes in at a great option for a lot of drivers. It was the only engine I had driven of the previous generations and was quite surprised as what it could actually do. Wasn't expecting that. In the end, I opted for the Passat TDI because I wasn't getting any warm fuzzy help from Ford or the dealer, and am very happy with how things turned out. I've only really commuted with it, still on the first tank and have an average MPG of 42 on it, so far (if I do it right, I'm able to get about 38 city at times). Still 300+ miles of range left on it (OD is sitting at 430+). Going to be interesting to see what she ends up getting once broken in.
  2. This is the first comment I've seen from a 2.5 owner, that I know of. Interesting. What sort of MPG are you getting? Do you have a lead foot and not concerned with the last of power or is everything just dandy?
  3. Pretty. Who did you have do the tint? I'm definitely having mine done (if I buy the car).
  4. Also, how was your experience with Evergreen? I'm eying a Silver SE there right now in the event I get fed-up enough with my dealer, but really want my Ruby Red with Dune interior.
  5. I'm only about a 5-minute drive west on 90 from Evergreen, so in between your commute, and work in Seattle.
  6. Beautiful. Test drove one at the same dealer (because mine didn't have any at the time). Are you in the general vicinity or on the other side of the lake? Once mine is in, a couple of us are going to be getting together to Oooo and Aahhh at each others' rides.
  7. Pretty sure the 1.6 is made in the UK.
  8. Your math is off a bit. 1000/day for 20,000 is 20-days. Soooo... But I get you. I can't even get a VIN for an order I put in 8/22 and I am starting to get very restless.
  9. Heck, you don't even have to go to the dealer. I suggest researching who the fleet sales manager(s) at the dealers and call them directly. They'll likely give you a much better deal than you'd ever get from the retails sales guys without the haggling. I never stepped foot in the dealer I ordered from (still haven't) and the deal I got was 1% over REAL invoice.
  10. Just got back from test driving a Titanium. My thirst is satiated. I can now wait patiently for my SE 1.6 to arrive... whenever that is. First, for those of you who ordered up the Titaniums you've chosen wisely. It is pure luxury. If I didn't have a couple of young kids I'm might decide to tell my dealer to keep the SE and order up a Titanium. The only thing that would hol me back is the engine. Though the 2.0 has some nice power, it's not enough for me to not prefer the 1.6 benefits over it. It's a shame they didn't decide to offer the Titanium with a 1.6, but perhaps it's only a matter of time. Second, I cannot describe how beautiful the car is in person. Photos do not capture the beauty, class and styling of the exterior and my words wouldn't either. You just have to get yourself to see one in person is all. This also includes th interior. I've seen tepid reviews from some of the pros on in regards to the interior. I love it. It's comfortable and cozy while having lots of room all at the same time. On top of it all the finishes are satisfying and easy on the eyes. I was more impressed with the MyFord Touch than expected, but it's still not preferable to me. I'm not very patient and it takes way too many voice commands to get something accomplished, though it wasn't as awkward with someone else in the vehicle as I assumed it would be. After using it, I'm glad I stuck with the standard Sync/center console/dash - the wheel buttons and commands will be plenty convenient This is an impressive vehicle. It's not the old Fusion in the least and although that vehicle is more than adequate in its own right Ford has hit it out of the park with model year 2013. So chrisdh79, we have them in the area at two dealers minimum. If you need to get your fix in while waiting on yours let me know and I'll PM you which ones.
  11. There's a mod speculation thread started on the Ecoboost forum here.
  12. I'm interested in seeing if Superchips will easily and quickly be able to adapt their Bluefin for the current Mondeo 1.6 EB to the Fusion. Don't know why they wouldn't, but it could be possibe we'll have to wait until they get their hands on an updated Mondeo. When they do get it done I'll be looking very hard and long at that.
  13. Didn't stop the rest of us. :D Also, you must be in the Valley. I'm headed that direction next weekend and if they don't have any here by then (which I don't know why they wouldn't) I've told my wife we'll be hitting a dealership there (maybe even Galpin) to test drive one.
  14. This should probably get its own post, but this thread is obviously getting attention, so.... Cash Back offers on 2013 revealed today: Offer 12204* good through 1/2/2013 $1000 retail cash on all models except Hybrid which = $500. This is obviously carry over of the same program (different #) that expired yesterday.
