  1. yes, I checked the PS fluid, looks good and also filled. I am leaning more towards the rack being the problem, I can't see how it could have anything to do with the tie rod ends, but I appreciate the help
  2. Alright folks, I need a little advice again. I have started hearing a noise when my engine is at idle or very low rpm coming from what I think is the power steering rack. It had occurred intermittently over the past 6 months or so but just recently became an everyday occurrence. The car is a 2007 Fusion SEL 2.3 automatic. when turning the steering wheel (to the left only) while moving slowly forward or reverse, I get a loud groan and I can feel it in the steering wheel ( sounds like the pump is trying to pump air, not fluid) when it happens the steering is still assisted, but harder than normal. If any of you have an idea what this might be, I would appreciate your input
  3. I really do appreciate the help with this, I guess I just overlooked one of the nuts, I will hopefully get a chance tomorrow to look at it if it is not raining again. Seems like everyone on here is really helpful from the things that I have read. Again, I thank you !!!!!
  4. hello fellow Fusion owners. I need a little help with changing the spark plugs on my 2007 SEL with the 2.3. There is a hard plastic tube that goes from behind the radiator, over the engine (two bolts fasten it to the head, one on the intake side and one on the exhaust side) that attaches to another piece of hard plastic tube on the exhaust side that I need to remove to be able to replace one of the spark plugs. I can not see how to disconnect the two sections so that I can remove the piece that crosses over the engine. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated as I do not want to break the plastic pieces . Thank you in advance.
