  1. I had that happen to two drivers side mirrors on my FFH Ford replaced both. We will see with the 3rd mirror (27 months and 22,000 miles). It hasn't happened on the MKZh.
  2. And then there is this class action lawsuit....http://www.aboutlawsuits.com/ford-focus-fusion-steering-class-action-67309/
  3. Both of mine that were covered under warranty were bumper to bumper.
  4. Ford has yet to recall any of the Fusions for power steering defects yet, although they have for other models. My 2010 went through three power steering racks. The first two were covered under warranty and the last one was not and cost me $1,800+. I'm waiting for Ford to include the Fusions and I will get my money back. I also filed a complaint with NHTSA.
  5. Those plastic clips have been around for years. You can buy the at Lowes in their small parts-n-odd stuff drawers. It's amazing the odd ball parts you can find there. They sell them for GM also. Why they would sell that stuff is beyond me, but I've bought those plastic thingeys there a couple of times.
  6. I don't know about your other missing items, but the leather shift knob, which was part of the luxury package was missing from many of the early 2013s. Many of us had a real battle with dealers convincing and showing them Ford's mistake. Ford finally came out with a customer service action and replaced the neoprene with the "leather" ones. The dealers were the ones who ordered and installed the correct shift knobs. So, your dealer is blowing a fierce wind up your pant legs....or skirt on this one. Hope this helps.
  7. The ones from Pepboys fit my 2010 perfectly. I would suggest you bought the wrong ones. This has been awhile now and I no longer have the piece of crap car or the lugnut packaging.
  8. This a common, well documented problem with Ford, There are many threads on this. I bought mine at Pepboys. 20 for about $35.00.
  9. When I had my 2010 I had a vibration issue. Turns out from the factory the wheels were not evenly match, meaning one of the wheels took more than 30 ounces of weight to balance it. Which was far more than any of the other wheels.
  10. I remember Ford had a recall on certain 2010-2011 Fusions wheel studs, but I do not remember a wholesale recall on the lug nuts. NHTSA Campaign ID #11V574000 Recall Date2011-12-08 SummaryFORD IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010-2011 FORD FUSION AND MERCURY MILAN VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 17 INCH STEEL WHEELS AND BUILT FROM APRIL 1, 2009, THROUGH APRIL 30, 2009, AND FROM DECEMBER 1, 2009, THROUGH NOVEMBER 13, 2010. THE WHEEL STUDS MAY FRACTURE, POTENTIALLY CAUSING A WHEEL TO SEPARATE. ConsequencesWHILE DRIVING, MULTIPLE STUD FRACTURES COULD OCCUR AT THE WHEEL LOCATION, AND THE OPERATOR MAY EXPERIENCE VEHICLE VIBRATION AND/OR WHEEL SEPARATION, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. RemedyFORD WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE REAR BRAKE DISC SURFACE FOR FLATNESS AND REPLACE THE DISCS AS NECESSARY. ADDITIONALLY, THE WHEEL LUG NUTS WILL BE REPLACED ON ALL FOUR WHEELS. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT JANUARY 24, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP CENTER AT 1-866-436-7332. Component AffectedWHEELS:LUGS/NUTS/BOLTS NotesFord Motor Company

  12. You're not going to want to hear this, but Pepboys sells them. I paid about $35.00 for a set of 20. My dealer wanted $168.00 for them.....no thanks. I wouldn't find Pepboys at fault here. The Ford lug nuts are well known for their bad design as they swell and the wrench doesn't fit over them and they easily strip.
  13. Your "design flaw" is what many consider a safety/convenience feature.
  14. The same battery in your car has been tested in San Fransisco Escapes taxis. I forget how many they tested, but I think it was over 500 units. The batteries had over 400,000 miles as an average and Ford only had to replace 2 of them due to accidents. I suspect the battery will outlast your car by a long shot. If it has to be replaced, I've heard it's around $2,500.
  15. The TSB (I don't know the TSB#) has been applied to my 2013 FFH three times by the dealer and I have reprogrammed the front windows many-many times. No matter who does it they will work for a couple of days and then stop working. There has never been an issue with the global open-close feature. Also, never a problem with the windows in the MKZh.
  16. You are correct. On the 2010 Ford Fusion SE key pad was not available. It only came with the SEL trim package. When I ordered my 2010 I tried to get the key pad as an option....no such luck.
  17. The speedometer on my FFH has been 2 mph slower than actual speed since the day I bought it. Tested it with radar and Tom Tom. Both had the same results. The MKZh has always been dead on.
  18. October 6, 2014 — The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has opened a defect investigation into steering problems in 938,000 model year 2010-2012 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles as well as the 2010-2011 Mercury Milan. Read more..... Hold on to your repair receipts . If a recall is issued you will get your money back. There has already been a recall on Ford Explorers on this. Ford owes me for two now on my 2010 Ford Fusion. The price they quoted is low compared to what I payed. $1,800. x 2.
  19. I did the same as Big Jim......you quoted him in your post. Pepboys $35.00 for 20. They are the same ones that fit a Toyota, you just have to not use the over-sized washer on them.
  20. I had the same problem and Ford ended up replacing the key. This is not an unknown problem. It was covered under warranty.
  21. Go to a dealer and have them pull up the build sheet for your VIN. That is the most accurate information.
