  1. This place has both Stoptech and Goodridge lines: http://cd3performance.com/index.php?route=common/home I plan to order next week.
  2. I think the next step is braided lines and brake ducts. Looking into options for ducts right now....
  3. HPS pads and StopTech 600 fluid definitely made a huge improvement....not sure if I want to upgrade to the MazdaSpeed brake assembly or to a Brembo setup. Both are quite an investment.
  4. I used a regular sized hammer and gave it a few whacks at the backside of the rotor which knocked it loose. Be sure to clean the calipers where the retainer clips go as well as regrease them before you install new pads. Let me know if you need anything else.
  5. Looks like fun, would be great to drive one!!!
  6. Mustangs, Corvettes....I had an amazing instructor who raced Jettas back in the day so he was well familiar with what a FWD car could do. Still running stock struts, thinking of getting some Bilsteins and the front engine mount from Steeda for my next event. Brakes were the weak point and I'm hoping to contact Russell to get some SS lines as well. Simply put, the brakes couldn't keep up.
  7. Video as requested..... I left Traction Control on and had a few sessions with it off, I didn't notice a difference.
  8. Got up to about 120mph on the front straight, taking turns around 80mph. Car handled great, need to seek out better brake pads and SS braided lines to improve the braking. Also looking into putting a 4-point Schroth Rallye harness in the front seats which will mount to the rear upper seatbelt mounting points for better driver stability and control.
  9. Must say it was a VERY successful weekend at Texas World Speedway this past weekend. The 2011 Fusion Sport held it's own and MORE in my run group against Mustangs and Corvettes. Mods: Steeda Strut Tower Brace Steeda Springs Steeda Race Rear Sway Bar Hawk HPS pads (front & rear) Stoptech 600 brake fluid Nitto NT01s on 1997 Cobra rims Must say I got the point-by by a lot of Mustangs, Boss's, and Corvettes: Couldn't be happier with this car!!!
  10. This weekend, can't wait to put the Fusion with Steeda goodies to the test!!!!
  11. I got my Nitto NT01s mounted on my 1997 Cobra rims the past weekend and wanted to see how they fit on the Fusion. I think they fit well and will be sufficient for open track duty.
  12. Tire Rack doesn't sell them, Russell doesn't have them listed on their website but I'm going to email them tomorrow morning. I'll keep you updated on if they respond.
  13. Where are you getting the braided lines from?? I'd love to pick some up before the track event.
  14. Got the fronts done with no problems....only a slightly frozen on rotor to the hub, but a few taps with the hammer and they let loose. I installed new Brembo solid rotors, new Hawk HPS pads and bled the brakes with StopTech 600 fluid.....attending an open track event in 2 weeks....2.9 mile road course with 15 turns. Looking forward to see how the Fusion performs.
