  1. Just an update to this...I traded in this Fusion Labor Day of 2014 for a Camry( I know,yuck)....But after 46k and having the transmission worked on three times, I was done....The last straw was when the Fusion sat at a local dealer for over 33 days for the third transmission rebuilt...Dealer won't be named but it's the city where the Dallas Cowboys practice during the summer......I've looked it up on Carfax and it been sold since I traded it three times...It now has a salvage title and been sold at auction in Central California after being wrecked last summer....I miss the color and certain features on it but don't miss it sitting at a dealer for over a month....The Camry isn't much better but that's a whole other story....
  2. Took the car back to the dealer as like stated above the problem was still there.....Waiting on Ford to approve to tear apart the tranny.....
  3. Update on this : There is a TSB on the transmission problem.....Took our Fusion to another dealer and found out there was a TSB to fix the tranny problem.....Dealer had the car for a week due to the Fourth of July holiday......Problem is kinda fixed....Now and then the tranny still does it but now not as bad as before.......Car has 46k on it now.....
  4. Had the oil changed last week .....Also had a tranmission problem that I had the dealer check.....Funny when I complain about a problem the dealer can't dulpicate it....When the car is cold, it shifts from 3rd to fourth, the whole car jerks.....After ten minutes, it goes away....Good news I complained to Ford and its on record now so in case it gets worse I can say I complained of a problem in May of 2014.....Fusion has 40k on it now.....
  5. Update: Last oil change I requested an oil consumption test for this current oil that's in the Fusion now.....Kinda funny now the car stopped using oil after I asked for this test....Just turned 37k miles on it this past week....So now I'm on the extended warranty that I purchased when I bought the car new.....Will update when get oil changed again and Ford gives me the results....Probably wiil get the same within tolerance saying but at least they'll tell me about my oil make up......
  6. I bought a early production model( made in late October 2012) so that might explain the problems I've been having.....I bought it December 9 2012 and have 35k on it now....It had three recalls on it so far(new headlights, check for equipment when deilvered, and gas tank/fuel pump.) Just got another notice about possible throttle body corrision build up.... Loose trim on passenger side, a/c control faulty, oil consumption and the recent one was both key fobs stopped working....Currently having a oil consumption test being performed on the Fusion and the electrontics was updated.....I also purchased the extended warranty as I knew I would need it.......
  7. I have a 2013 SE with the 2.5 and automatic....Owned it for fifeteen months and have 35k on it already.....My daily roundtrip drive is over eighty miles......I go over two major mountain ranges on my way to work.....Been getting 28- 30 mpg constantly........In town its drops.....I switched from Shell regular to Chevron regular and have been getting these numbers.....Was worst with Shell gas for some reason......I talked to a Ford engineer at the Fabulous Fords Forever car show at Knotts Berry Farm last year....He said I should be getting in the 30's....I told him about the mountain ranges.....He said that would explain my numbers......I too run 35psi in the tires and run the defroster on the way home but not going in to work.....
  8. I have the 2.5 in our 2013 Fusion SE.....Have the car for fifteen months with 33k on it already.....I do about eighty five miles roundtrip every day.......All freeway with two mountain ranges to go over on the way in to work....Get about 28-30 mpg using Chevron regular unleaded......I spoke to a Ford engineer at Fabulous Fords Forever Show at Knott's Berry Farm last year about the car.....He stated I should be getting better mpg....I then told him about the two mountain ranges on my daily drive....He stated that would explain the lower mpg......Hope this helps.....
  9. Well, yesterday I took the car back.....They performed a simply fix.....Pulled fuse#32 and let the car sit for five minutes.....Problem solved, although tempoary .........The other problem was a tire pressure sensor that was faulty......They reset it also.....Was informed next time I have my oil changed, they will run a update on my electronics system.....
  10. The dealership found it after contacting Ford.....Thanks again.......
  11. Funny, this is my second dealer I'm using......I original bought this Fusion at Galpin Ford in North Hills CA.....They are the largest selling dealer west of the Mississippi River.....But with being the largest, their service department just can't keep up.....So I went to the largest to probably one of the smallest dealer, Barber Ford in Ventura CA.......I've dealt with Barber Ford before so it was no surprise how I've been treated......Will go by the dealership on Thrusday for them to run a simple test on the electronics.......
  12. Thanks....I called the dealer and mentioned the TSB and his reply was: "Do you know the number?" I'm like no.......Hopefully he was smart enough to look it up and get back to me......Not holding my breath though.......
  13. I'm real disappointed with this part of the car.....The car I traded in was a 2000 Toyota Camry with 216k on it....Ran good but used a quart every 900 miles.....So you can see my frustation about this.....I've come to the realization that after the extended warranty expires I'll probably get rid of it......
  14. Hi Robert: The wheels are a America's/Discoun Tire brand from what a wheel guy told me at Fabulous Fords Forever show at Knotts Berry Farm.....The size is just half inch wider than stock so the original tires fit just fine....17 x7.5 They're called Drag and they're on their website...... Here's a few pictures of our 68 coupe....
