It is not an AGM battery.

Just replaced the OEM battery on my 2010 SE 4 cylinder with a Diehard. It came with a vent plug and elbow connector. However, I don't see a vent tube in the engine compartment. Is it necessary to use the vent connector or can I do without it? Thanks in advance for the advice.
