Mazda will be selling the diesel version here diffusion, so you will have a chance. I think both are great vehicles, so you can't lose IMO. My wifes 2005 Mazda 3 has been fantastic.

Hello everyone. I'm really wanting to pick up the 6-speed stick in the 1.6L SE, but I wanted to see what other peoples opinions were regarding their thoughts on future aftermarket support. I guessing that Steeda will be doing some items, and I have loved their parts on my '02 Mustang GT, but I wonder if that will be chassis related only. I am a huge fan of chassis modifications, but I am wondering whether the 1.6L will just be the stepchild of the two motors and not get any kind of cold air, tune, etc. support. I know Superchips did a tune in Europe that was really successful. There is a bunch of benefits in both the 1.6L and 2.0L that I'm sure could be unlocked. I really want the stick in the car as I feel like its a dying breed and I would love to own one in the Fusion, but I wanted to see peoples thoughts on future aftermarket support of the 1.6L. Thanks for the input!

I see you're in colorado . So am I, and I'm really curious how the altitude will affect the performance of all the motors in the Fusion. Did you test drive just the 2.0? or did you drive any of the others as well? what dealership did you order through and what model/pkg did you get? There should be some great gains to be had in a tune on these motors, so that's exciting .

Thanks for all of the info . love the way the car looks in White . I appreciate the driving impressions . my main concern is the CVT and the way it makes the car drive. I know driving it is the only way of seeing how the car feels with the CVT . was your mustang an auto or stick? I' m also contemplating the SE 2.0 or the 1.6L and the 6 speed stick . Congrats on the car!
