  1. Well, things are slowly starting to improve *knock on wood*... Just filled up for the 3rd time, finished right at 1300 miles when I reached the pump. I actually drove it 5-10 miles past 0 DTE because I had to get to a game. Fuelly shows the MPG at 26.2 while the fusion showed it at 26.4 - results I can definitely live with T <2000 miles. This is about 65% highway. I did the 3 click method and got exactly 14.062 gallons in - after it clicked each time I pulled out the pump, let it sit for a second, then stuck it back in and help the grip lightly. I still think it should be taking closer to 15, but I'm sure I could've fit some more in if I tried. Anyways, that's the latest update for now - Newbie out.
  2. 10 is as high as you can get without a regional manager approving it. Don't worry, you're one of the lucky ones!
  3. *looks at avatar*... ...whew. I'll double check it tomorrow, but I haven't noticed it
  4. Great run down txtenor - thank you for dedicating your time to this issue. It will probably end up helping more people than you realize.
  5. Just did my second fill up at 16 DTE - got 13.34 gallons in using the 3 click method. Got 13.35 in last time at 10 DTE last time so at least it's consistent...
  6. Hey all, I was wondering if you could check something in your cars for me - is there a black plastic connector piece that connects your rearview mirror and your light/moonroof control panel? I've seen some pictures of interiors that has a piece - so I was wondering if that piece is missing on mine...mine is just a black exposed cord. I'm not sure if it's different for those with/without a moonroof so any input would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance! Edit - Just realized this should have gone in the interior section, whoopsie.
  7. Posted this in the 2.0L consumption thread - might as well post it here. Just did my first fill up at 10 DTE - did the three click method and got 13.35 gallons in. At least it sounds as if Ford is looking into it...hopefully they produce something on it.
  8. Roger that, signed up for Fuelly! Just did my first fill up - got 13.35 gallons in the tank using the three click method with 10miles DTE. Count me in with the group that has a tank issue.
  9. Hmm...is there any better way to calculate how much you truly used? I guess this leads me to another question - are you aware of anyway to calculate 2 different mpgs concurrently? Basically, it'd be cool to keep one going for the life of the car and then be able to calculate an MPG for a given trip.
  10. Just got through my first tank of gas...its currently sitting at 10 DTE (still yet to fill up). However, I only got 300 miles out of the first tank of gas. I feel like that's not right. And that's with what I'd say is 65% of careful freeway driving. If I calculate it out 300miles/16.5gal= roughly 18mpg for the first tank...that's pathetic. Even if we call it 20 taking into account the reserve issues, which I'll find out more about when I fill up tomorrow. Freeway driving isn't the issue - I can maintain around 32mpg if I'm careful with the throttle, but once you hit city streets it just kills the mpg. This better improve.
  11. Your thread title got me all excited... ...but the answer to your question is slowly but surely. For some reason the market has been slow to manufacture items for the 13 Fusion.
  12. Did anyone else check their owners manual case for a one page leaflet? I picked up my car yesterday and it has a one page leaflet stating that "your car has a 13.5L tank and not to use below 87 gasoline amongst other things. This is purely speculation but there could have been a manufacturing mix up with the tank sizes and instead of replacing them they're just sticking us with the smaller tank...I couldn't find a tank size reference in the owners manual itself. Didn't look that hard though, anyone have a page #?
  13. Ditto - even normal morning talk radio sounded a bit off. Louder noise was too loud and lower volume was too low. Hard to find a happy medium.
  14. Pictures still to come - crappy weather out here right now. I have roughly 150 miles on the car and here are my first impressions: Pros: - Absolutely stunning to look at. Already got a few comments on the Aston Martin look alike. It was also a pleasant surprise that my vehicle came with the dual chrome exhaust. I was under the impression that this was for Titaniums only, but apparently it comes standard with the 2.0L even on an SE. - Handles like a dream. It's definitely a bigger car, but it sure doesn't feel like it. Corners well, above average turning radius, and accelerates with little effort. - The interior is one of the most comfortable I've been in (with the leather seats). TONS of room, both front and back (I'm 6'1"). Trunk space is huge. - Didn't have any of the trunk alignment or front paneling spacing issues. I have to check, but the thick black wire going from my moonroof conrols to the rearview mirror is exposed - is there supposed to be a plastic covering? Cons: - There's no way this thing is going to get the rated MPG. Just no way. I won't go ahead and say Ford lied on the EPA ratings...but I can't get anywhere close. I'm averaging around 20 MPG (75% highway), but like others have stated the moment you press the pedal down your MPG shoots down. I know it's early, so I'm going to not look at the MPG again until around 1,000 miles and see. - Hard to tell where the front bumper ends. I'm sure this is just an adjustment thing - I'm just not used to a car having such an abrupt ending to the front end (as sexy as it is) Other than that - I love it. More to come!
  15. Just picked up the sexy piece of machinery! Pics to come tomorrow if it's not raining to bad.
