  1. Well I said I would update if this happens again, and it did. Got the "Check Fuel Fill Inlet" message a second time, but it went away on its own during the same driving trip to work. However, a few days after that my check engine light came on and stayed on. OBD Sensor pulled error code P0455 (Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected). There is a thread on this forum regarding this error code, and what has worked for different people. I replaced the Purge Control Valve, Motorcraft Part CX-2349. It was $54 +tax at my local ford dealer. My mechanic popped it in free of charge as I did not have the tools at home to replace it myself. Took them five minutes, and I have had no issues since. Hope this helps anyone who may have this issue in the future.
  2. Thought I would also throw my two cents in on this topic. I have a 2010 SE and got the "Check Fuel Fill Inlet" Message. Followed the instructions in the manual, used the fuel filler tube to poke any loose debris out of the gas cap, and the message went away. A month later, I got the message again, however it went away on its on during the same trip. Few days after that, Check Engine Light came on, and stayed on. Poked around this and other forums and decided to replace the purge control valve mentioned in the above quote. It was $54.00 + tax for me at my local ford dealer. I didn't have the tools at home to install it so I cannot speak to how easy/hard replacing the part would be, but my longtime mechanic popped it in free of charge; took them five minutes. Have had no issues since.
  3. I drive a 2010 SE and had this issue pop up. I just filled up my gas tank last night, and the "Check Fuel Fill Inlet" message popped up on my way home from work today. Got home, turned the car off, and stuck the fuel filler funnel (someone else mentioned this, should be located under the carpet in your trunk) in and out of the gas tank inlet a few times. I didn't notice any debris or anything out of the ordinary while doing this. Drove the car about 3 hours later a few miles down the road to a local bar we go to every Wednesday night and the message was gone by the time I got there. Hope this helps anyone who has this problem in the future. Will update if it happens again.

    Hello

Congrats! I love the Fusions in Blue.
  5. Yep, this has happened to me a few times this Winter. It's amazing what a little amount of snow or ice can do. Had me a little panicky the first time it happened as I had never experienced it before. The build-up in the wheel wells drives me nuts, I HAVE to poke all of the snow/ice/slush off of my car before driving it. I wish other people did also, instead it seems to fall off of their cars while I am driving right behind them and I run it over. Awesome.
