  1. I would say so.. The throttle body seems to be of a big issue. How many miles do you have on your car?
  2. In for the updates. I'm curious to see the results..
  3. About 6 hours. That was going slow and doing other things. If you really went at it..about three hours total. Very easy upgrade. Just need a dremel to cut the back of the housing, a screw driver to remove three screws (to swap projectors), and plastic weld to seal the back of the housing on. Results are supurb. 5000k pushed by 5Five ballasts
  4. Where were you May 24th, 2013 ..I paid $16,100 for mine. I would have gladly taken yours off your hands. Assuming it's AWD.. Good luck with sale.
  5. Well.. Some people will just never understand. (like how you failed to notice the conversation was about the buy out price, not the monthly payment &/or the pros or cons of lease vs buy.) Numbers don't lie. But hey, as humans we're more of comfort creatures than intelligent creatures. So if $0 down and $249 a month make you feel better, roll with it young prince of bel air.
  6. I hear that the muffler delete is enough for the Fusion. Sounds awesome. But that’s with the 3.0
  7. You negotiate the purchase price of the car before you lease it lol You must have fell victim to the “$0 and $249 a month for 24 months” scam... $19k is eh. I personally wouldn’t pay that much as you’re right on the edge of breaking even. l paid $16k for my 2012 and it was only 9 months old.. SEL V6
  8. Interesting about continentals. I had conties on my Titan and they were pure junk.. hate to say it, but the goodyears lasted longer than the conties.
  9. Update: Just called Geico (insurance provider) and they added my window tinting to my policy so in the event a window of any break, they will cover it along with the replacement of the glass for my deductible which is $50.
  10. Anyone Tint their windshield? Reason I ask is because of the dot matrix on the top of the windshield where the mirror is located. I have a tint shop that is going to tint my windshield for $100 and will also fix the rear window (other shops lack of quality) dot matrix at the top with vinyl. I'm just wondering what the results were with black vinyl on the dot matrix or if just straight film was applied. I'm thinking of doing 50% on the front. ..of course this is all pending on my insurance company as $50 gets me a new windshield but unsure if it also covers window film....
  11. Good point on the air bags.. I didn't think of that. WOuldn't that be a rush with a sealed car and those puppies going off taking up half the air space!
  12. No way there is that much pressure being created to give you headaches. Otherwise you'd have some other issues.. It's most likely your seat. Or it could be a smell. But my guess is the seat.
  13. It’s all in how you wire them up. As long as they have a 12v source they don’t care where they are tapped into.
  14. Is the sport grille dark chrome? I thought it was normal.. or color matched. And those lights are on ebay all day. About $250. For DRL your local dealer can activate them or you can simply hook up a relay up to your headlights. I retrofitted my headlights with HIDs so I stay away from DRL for the low beams, keeps the hours off the bulbs. But the LED strip is nice. Those headlights are also avail in black as well.
  15. I think it’s pretty much a black flake? Half black flake and half chrome to give the appearance of dark chrome. This guy paid $434 to have his chrome darkened. I’m also debating on getting these headlights. I like the white DRL feature.. and they look fairly OEM
  16. I personally want to find a shop to turn my chrome into dark chrome.
  17. no mods necessary if you use a fusion 18” wheel. I hope you mean a 2010-2012 fusion wheel. Not sure about >2013
  18. Nice! And interesting wheels on the blue ford.. I’ve always liked the RCSB F150s. Just something about them.. And the headlights on my Bronco lol that’s black electrical tape. I kinda have a thing for headlights and output. I spent a few hours and found that amount of tape around the headlight lens blocks out excess glare and doesn’t hamper any output onto the roadway when using HID bulbs in a halogen housing. ..but yeah you can say I have a little thing for headlights. I spent $450 on my headlight upgrade on the Fusion. $900 on the custom built headlights for my Durango.. (Fusion output)
  19. Tell them to get it to repeat and fix the issue. If they hit you with “okay, well we can look at more but we’ll have to charge you $$$$” say “Okay” and keep having them look at it until the replace the unit. Basically don’t accept the vehicle back until they fix the issue. Being the issue falls under warranty work, it will be billed as such (free to you). It’s a gamble tho.. cause they could just rack up 100 man hours and not replace a thing, footing you with a $14k bill.. Key is to be firm but polite. And it also depends on the dealer. I had the dealer replace my rearview mirror due to rattle and they broke the windshield in the process. They were nice enough to have an OEM windshield installed free of charge And they still provide great service! For background, this is a FLEET service (ford) center. While they are primary fords, they also do heavy work in the cummins, chrylser and nissan vehicles as well.
  20. Fords for the win!! Welcome
  21. If you really want to get rid of it, you can re-paint it. Or hydro-dip it. But yeah.. sounds like $80 for a replacement is the easiest.
  22. I have the michellin Energy Savers (OE) on my Fusion. I like them. They great amazing in the rain. But yeah, one shouldn’t skimp out on tires. They are what make for a quite ride, contribute to handling, and allow you to stop better. Enjoy paying your $500 deductible for insurance when you lost traction in the rain and couldn’t stop fast enough before hitting another object. <things to think about. Sometimes that extra $$$ is worth it.
  23. I see what you’re saying. I’d have to look into it more but I don’t think it’d be hard to bypass. Sounds like there may be more to work around but nothing is impossible when it comes to electrical. Of course, one may have to wait until a company with enough R&D $$$ can develop a system/harness to bypass the system easier minus the need to splice into too many wires... In regards to the factory remote start system.. if it’s plug and play & dealer sets it up on their end then that’s a winner, if the cost is reasonable. How much is the factory remote system? What about new key fobs?
  24. Why won’t it work? Unless the 2013 is no longer a 12v system..
