  1. Phone is an Iphone 11. Not sure what Sync version (nor where I'd find that). Map version is 1X if that tells us anything. The assistance is much appreciated.
  2. our 2010 Fusion hybrid is exhibiting two, perhaps related problems. 1. The to hear an incoming call you have to crank the volume up to max. I can't find any setting that might effect this. 2. The cross-traffic warning beeps have gone silent. This would seem to be a issue with the navigation unit. Is there a way to do a full reset that might help? Failing that what might some solutions be?
  3. the manual for our 2010 Fusion Hybrid infers that you can use the keyless entry pad to unlock the trunk. But it doesn't provide the steps. Other than unlocking the car, opening the door, reaching in, and hitting the trunk release is there a way to do that with the keyless entry keypad?
  4. Thanks for that tip about FordEtis. Pretty interesting.
  5. Ah, now that is interesting. So if my manual says "amber light" does that mean that the car is post-change -- or just the manual? Can one tell by VIN number when a car was built and whether it had that (those) mid year revisions?
  6. Hmm. Interesting. We've had Honda's, Volvo's, Lexus and they've all had some sort of indication that the cruise control was on even when it wasn't engaged or controlling the car. (In fact Volvo only tells you when the system is on, not whether it is actually engaged). Maybe the "armed" indicator is common to European and Japanese vehicles. Still leaves me wondering why the owners manual says it exists.
  7. According to the manual for my 2010 Fusion Hybrid when you press the Cruise Control button an amber indicator light illuminates on the dashboard. When you Set the speed (with the plus button) that indicator turns green. However on my car there is no amber light to tell you that the system is armed and ready. A green indicator does come on when you set the speed. My local Ford dealer claims that "this is expected on some models." I don't believe that. Every car I've ever driven has some sort of "ready" indicator as well as a "set" indicator. Secondly, why would the user manual say it exists if it doesn't? Should I be going to a different Ford dealer repair shop or is their answer credible? (Even if the functionality is a bit bizarre).
