  1. I have a 2010 Sport that had the same problem. The visor would not retract fully, leaving a little gap, unlike the passenger visor that was flush against the headliner. Also, the visor would bounce around a little, making a slight clicking noise as it did since it wasn't under tension. The dealer replaced it under warranty and the new one has been fine.
  2. I believe the instructions you are looking for are in the owners manual. It can be disabled temporarily (until you start the car again) or permanently.
  3. I have a 2010 Sport AWD and love it. The lease is up soon and have a 2012 Sport AWD on order to replace it.
  4. I have a 2010 Sport with about 21,000 miles on it and the battery is still fine. Probably just got a bad one. As far as the transmission issues, I am not aware of any widespread issues with the transmission in the Sport, which is a completely different transmission than the one in other Fusion trim levels.
  5. You may want to post your question in the general powertrain section, or maybe the 2.3/2.5 or 3.0 engine area (depending on what engine he has). This section is for the 3.5L engine which is only available with the Sport model. You may have better luck in one of those areas.
  6. I guess it depends where you live. I had a FWD Fusion and now have an AWD. It is hilly where I live and a lot of the roads twist and turn. You couldn't drag me back to a FWD.
  7. I just got back from a trip with my Fusion Sport AWD. Drove from PA to SC and kept the cruise set around 5 over, meaning I was around 70-75mph most of the trip. I reset the mpg display as I was leaving and checked it as I went. It was up around 27.2 for quite a bit of the trip. That was with 3 of us and all of our luggage in the car. No special fuel or additives. I thought that was pretty good for a car rated at 24 mpg on the highway.
  8. Nope, there are no option differences between the FWD and the AWD. I have a 2010 AWD Sport and have loved driving every minute of it. Looking at getting a new one early next year.
  9. My 2010 has also done this a few times. Turn the key and release it and it will crank but will never start. I just turn the key back to off and do it again. I would say it has happened 3-4 times in the 18 months I have had it so I would certainly say it is something that would be almost impossible to reproduce at the dealership.
  10. Don't take this as smart-ass answer but did you take it to the dealership? Assuming you are not over 36,000 miles, this would be covered under the bumper-to-bumber warranty.
  11. It never hurts to let them look. I knew exactly what I wanted and was going to order one but my dealer found exactly what I wanted close by and got it for me, an AWD Sport with the exact options I wanted. I had a 2008 Fusion before this one and they had to order it as I wanted a fully loaded SEL with the 5 speed manual and they were definitely hard to come by. Let them look and, if they can't find it, let them order it.
  12. I started up the car this morning and it showed 72º for the driver and 70º for the passenger, just like I set it last night. Twenty minutes later, with no one ever being in the passenger seat, it still showed 72º for the driver and 70º for the passenger.
  13. That's something I haven't checked. I will go set the passenger temperature now and then turn the car off and see what happens when I leave for work in the morning.
  14. I had the temps set at two different settings, turned off the car and then restarted it. With no one in the passenger seat, it remembered what I had it set to before I turned off the car. So, yes, mine still showed the same temperature with no one in the passenger seat. I had to disengage the passenger temperature manually to get it to forget it. And, no, someone sitting in the passenger seat will not automatically engage the passenger temperature. However, once you turn it on, it should not be forgetting it. I have a 2010 Fusion and a 2009 Edge with dual climate controls and they both work that way.
