I Went to uhaul and had them install the heavy duty tranny cooler. It was 150 bucks. I seems that my engine temp runs a little cooler according to the gauge. Which ELM327 did you buy on ebay. There is one for 11.50 and another that's double the price. Can you are anyone send me a link to one that is stable etc. The one for 11.50 is a cheap price to gamble. And reviews look good.

Sometimes It will be a short run and sometimes it will be a long run etc. I am a small business that goes to jewelry shows and my cargo will not exceed 1000-1200lbs including the trailer weight. I was just wondering does the 09 fusion even have a cooler? But More to my question is about this u haul cooler. That's a good Idea with the scan tool. I never thought about that as well just to read the temp in general. Do you know if those cheap ones at harbor freight will tell me. OR can you give me some examples of some cheap ones. Thanks again for all the Ideas. But as for a test run, Its pretty hard since, One day I will travel 100 miles and the next 500 miles. My fusion has 130K Miles on it and drives like new. I love it. So I want to take care of the transmission. Yes, I know a suv or truck would be better but why spend 20 thousand dollars or go in debt when the fusion will do it.

I just had a 2k lbs hitch installed on my 2009 v6 ford fusion. I love it because you can hardly tell it was there. It was expensive with the hitch receiver and ball with installation and wiring 385. I am now deciding if its worth it to add the u-haul transmission cooler. Its 120 installed. And If 120 dollars saves my transmission, its worth it. Since I live down south anything north is up hill, So that Is my reasoning, I will not be pulling more then 1200 total lbs with trailer included. Has anyone had a uhaul cooler installed? I am new too this forum and that is why I signed up because I don't know much about my car as I have only had it a year. Any suggestions. Thanks. Jason
