  1. I had to purchase one for my 2 speeds. I looked into doing it myself. But backed out of that when I knew I would not do it perfectly. It is nice having the switch on it. I Highly recommend the USB ones anyways. So much more stable. It would just be awesome if we could find more stuff on the older fusions. I know there is less on it. But at least some of the stuff to be configured. Thanks for the reply!
  2. I have been searching for more of the ID codes for the SJB on Forscan, but I have only been able to find the list for the 2013+ Ford Fusions. Has anyone made any kind of list for the remainder of the codes found in the v1.5 models? I would like to modify my car some, but all I can find are the ones like the DRL, and the turn signal assist but I know there are more numbers to do things with. I have the 2012 Ford Fusion SE with an aftermarket radio, Full LED swap, including headlights, and honestly just like to modify things. Let me know if anyone has a list of any of the codes and know what they mean. Many thanks Vagh_nagas
  3. Okay, I understand the steering wheel control now. Thanks.... Now, for me to replace the stereo with another radio is there a wiring harness I need to not have to splice into the wires. Is there any particular thing I need to do to make sure the factory AMP still works? Because I will not be replacing that. Any info for me? Perhaps some pictures of your instillations. Apologies I could not answer earler. Work and all. you know. Vagh_nagas
  4. I have been looking high and low for how to replace my stock radio for an aftermarket one. I have found some useful information, and mostly useless stuff. So far the only thing I have in my posession is the new plastic replacement piece (see link) that is required to have any aftermarket radio. That is all I know. What I do not know: - How to wire the dang thing What do I need in parts to: - keep steering wheel controls - Keep sirius XM (not a requirement) - replace speakers (over time, but I'd rather keep the stock for now) I have looked high and low for this stuff to help me do this but I find a lot of other models which do not help me achieve my goal. Any help is appreciated. (amazon links prefered but not a requirement either... I just like 2 day shipping) thanks vagh_nagas
  5. Hello everybody I was hoping you guys would be able to help me. My Passenger side mirror managed to snag a tree branch while it was falling and broke. I have tons of questions that I hope you guys can help me answer. 1. How hard is it to replace the stuff myself? 2. If I were to order heated mirrors from a website because they are the only ones in stock would they work on my non heated sockets? I understand the heating element would not work but would everything else (movement) 3. If I were to get these how hard would it be to wire them up to heat when I want to, even if I need to create my own switched circuit. 4. if I order black ones but my car is grey how difficult is it to paint them if they are designed to be painted. 5. Lastly would straight black mirrors look good on the metallic gray color my car already is? Please let me know as soon as possible there are very few left in stock in the store (amazon) and I need to order them.
  6. Question about that second part. Using a fuse tap, and having a fuse on it (obviously) be protection enough to prevent damage to the system? I intend to put more onto the circut then what I have now, but I do have some things going outside and I want to make sure that I cannot damage the electrical system easily. Also sorry for reviving an old post. nagas
  7. With what was on mine, it's a sport. Lol.
  8. Nah, I will just pretend that I just have a "strip down" version of an SEL.... SHHHH don't tell anyone.
  9. That was. Now I'm a little aggravated with it. But I'll be fine. Thanks for your help everybody. Great detective skills and if I have any more questions I'll be sure to post them.
  10. Not at all. In fact I have a 2012 not a 2011
  11. You are right, the vin is VERY different, it is from a 2011 SEL, but I cannot find any information on it as to why it is on my car??? the car says it is still in use? any guesses, also i suppose it does not matter so here is the vin on my trunk 3fahp0jg7br261984 Also can anybody tell me why mine has a replaced trunk? was it in any kind of wreck?
  12. I did not know it was sold to enterprise to begin with. I knew it was a rental but not who. Where did you find that information? (The more detailed stuff) Just curious. Also I suppose it's possible it was in a small incident but I does not look like it. Normally there is a small difference between color in the two parts. ( no two cars fade the same). Thoughts? I am learning a lot trust me.
  13. That was my original thought, but for the price I paid there was no way i could have been. Has this thing every happened to anybody else on here? it just seems odd to mix up that much. Also here is a link to a picture of the back of my car. http://i.imgur.com/Y2ImFI5.jpg Let me know what you guys think.
  14. http://goo.gl/e6xPgg That is my window sticker, it shows SE not SEL. Maybe there was a factry mixup? The car has been in no accidents (not even a , and when I registered for my state it shows up as SE as well. Maybe I am the insaine person, but I just find all of that strange. Any Thoughts? Don't get me wrong I love my car for everything it is, I bought it for the V6 engine because i live in the city that has many uphill onramps that you need to get going, and I will keep this car until i cannot afford the repairs or something of that nature.
