  1. Glad i could help. One more thing. What ever you change now can always be changed back later. Nothing is permanent. Keep the instructions on your computers or keep a hard copy. Drove 50mi in the snow this morning, loving this car with snows and AWD :happy feet:
  2. It should be taped to the harness about 4-8 inches from the remote start box. It should be under the dash to the left of the steering column, straight up and toward the back of the car. Thats the factory location on my 2011 sport. The techs are supposed to mount them in the same location. Hope that helps
  3. Remote start programming 710620.pdf Hi all Just posted this yesterday on another forum, and yes it works on the mykey Fusions. "Hi all New to the forum thing, so bare with me. Three weeks into owning my 2011 Fusion Sport AWD with all the bells and whistles, and LOVING IT. Same thing with the factory autostart, open door and the car shuts off. We can program the remote start without the dealer and the mykey still functions to a degree. Quick explenation: If the mykey person only has the key, and not the starter remote, and are not allowed to use the remote start at all, (they only have the car key to start the car with), mykey still works as it was meant to. I know, my spelling, english and grammer are out the window. I did mine yesterday and works like a charm. Open doors and still runs, push break and it shuts off, and i also changed run time from 10 min to 15 min. Took me all of five minuts to do. Im attatching the instructions (from FORD) has both mykey and non mykey instructions. The program/override button and LED that you need to access is under the dash to the left side, straight up and to the back of the car. It will be taped to the wire harness that comes from the start module. The LED is small but the button is about as round as a dime so easy to find. Dealer installed starters might be in a slightly differant spot. IMPORTANT When your in step A) Getting into programming mode: follow accordingly and at step 4, when you release the programming/override button also release the break peddel. in the option chart under bank 2, its number 7 you will want to change. I also changed bank 2, number 3 (change if you want 15min run time) As usual, it took me longer to read the instructions than it did to change what i needed to. Happy motoring BTW i also opened up the airbox similar to a cold air kit, works and sounds the same as my explorer with the K&N kit. took a whole 15 min. anyone interested, let me know."
