  1. Update...so I thought I reconnected everything...as I looked down over the hood latch release I noticed I missed the hood latch connector...there is just enough flex in the upper portion of the bumper assembly to get your hand in there by removing all the upper plastic clips and the 3 screws...just.barely.enough...
  2. So, I too just replaced the bulbs in a '16 Fusion, checked all the lights and connections before buttoning it all up and thought all was well. After it was done, I got the hood ajar message, so thank you for this enlightenment!
  3. Been a while since I've been logged in...I will soon be handing off the 2016 Fusion to my daughter who is about to turn 16...my search for a replacement became a 2017 Fusion Sport...oh how I love this car...
  4. No and it hasn't been as bad either here lately. While it was at the dealer a couple weeks ago getting the programming update, I asked the service tech about it and he said it's most likely the motor potentially going bad. I sure hope that's not the case. I hate seeing some of the older Ford/Mercury/Lincoln cars with the wipers stopped in the up position and then think 'could that happen to me?'
  5. I recently replaced my Cooper CS4 Touring with the Toyo Proxes 4 Plus at $159 each. Much better handling than the CS4, but they have a different purpose too. Not sure about winter driving although it got me through what little we had here back in February without issue.
  6. Yes, as I recall, there were no issues with the non-delay settings; and thanks for the SM info! Sounds like the module may be the easiest of the 3 to start with. Thanks again!
  7. No, not automatic; normal rear view mirror mount, no black box. It's not listed on the window sticker either; equipment group 300A; rain sensing wipers are on the 302A package. Thanks for the attempt to troubleshoot!
  8. So, on a few occasions now, after setting the wiper delay to any position, it would randomly go haywire and not follow the position it's parked on. When it starts doing this, I would change the position and it would seem to reset it and follow that position. Anyone else experience this and, if so, have you discovered a fix?
  9. Mine has a few smaller spots that look very similar; I bought it used; it was a rental out of Florida.
  10. When it does respond, I too notice the delay in the upshift, the downshift, however, is pretty immediate as it should.
  11. Too slow certainly wasn't the problem; when it's pushing 5000 rpm, it should upshift, I would think...
  12. Question for any of you that have ever used the SST mode on your shifter: have you ever had problems with it upshifting when pressing "+"? I have had no issues with it downshifting when pressing "-", but upshifting seems to be less than responsive most of the time. Just curious if others have experienced this. This came in handy during our ATL snow/icing to maintain gear (generally 2nd and 3rd) and speed, but when I was ready to upshift, I had to put it back in "D" then back to "M". I'm also wondering if maybe it needs to be cleaned as I'm thinking, as a former rental car, something could have been spilled and maybe seeped in from the top, but seems like it's be the bottom button that would be giving me issues, too. Any ideas on how this may be accomplished? Lastly, anyone know if this would be covered under the powertrain or bumper-to-bumper warranty? I'm past the bumper-to-bumper but still less than 20k from expiring the powertrain (which will be in about a year at my current mileage rate). Thanks in advance for any insights.
  13. I guess the Juke wasn't big enough; it's certainly 'bugly' enough...
  14. Found a hint on the fusion hybrid forum...once you remove the panel on the side of the dash (and break one of the four tabs that holds it all too securely...), you can then get your hand with a small flat head screwdriver in behind and under the drawer. Put the flat head screwdriver under the center back portion of the drawer then push it open from behind and the screwdriver will push a tab down allowing you to completely remove the drawer.
