dyoct & sports-car-list. props on the great walk through. i was discouraged when i read the WSM and finally got eyes on the hoses attaching the the tstat. cant even see the tstat. i was getting discouraged. thinking even if i take of the ps-pump will i be able to access... etc. considering returning the $60 part to the dealer and paying them to do it. i now have a 2nd wind, and im going to go get-er-done. thanks again. great walk through. as for location, perhaps there is a benefit of the location. a more accurate reading, which allows them to better control the coolant, leading to better performance or fuel economy. perhaps they think this is a more robust location for durability. perhaps they couldnt fit it in a better place. we may all agree its difficult to change, but we cant play monday morning quarterback. now go hug an engineer and tell him/her you appreciate him.
