  1. Thanks for the replies. I had seen where some others had successfully taken it into the dealer and had the DRLs enabled. When I called our local dealer, they said it wasn't possible. When I saw that the option has (apparently) been changed to a setting that they customer could change, I wanted to see if it was true/possible. I had a '91 Saturn long ago and I built a logic circuit that turned on the fog lamps (to be DRLs) when the car was on and out of park... It worked great but I'm not sure if I could do something like that today with so much computer integration. ...I bet not much goes from the battery to the "part" without first going through the car's computer. ...The lights might come on (as DRLs) but then the computer would know and think something was wrong. It looks like my best bet is to dealer hop until I find somebody willing to do it. --Ted
  2. I am considering purchasing a Fusion but I want a car that has DRLs. I understand DRLs are standard on cars sold in Canada and DRLs are standard on Fusions in the US that are sold as fleet. I've contacted local dealers and they either say it can't be done or they say they won't do it for "safety and liability" concerns. I was about to give up but I came across another post which sparked my curiosity... Apparently in the user manual (page 95, 96, or 97?) of Fusion of the current model year, it has a section on how to change light settings including the ability to enable/disable DRLs. Can anybody with a new fusion (that's sold in US and NOT a fleet vehicle) follow those directions in the book and see if it is, in fact, something that can be adjusted? Thanks in advance for any help/feedback! --Ted
