  1. Just replace the battery. 5 years is an extraordinary lifetime for car batteries these days. I'm not sure if start-stop vehicles use a different deep-cycle battery.
  2. The sensor may be bad and thinks it is always dark out.
  3. Just because a phone is working doesn't mean your Ford could work. It depends on what phone network Ford was using.
  4. https://www.tirebuyer.com/education/rolling-resistance-and-fuel-economy
  5. Was a factory CD an available option? I thought be then most all cars had dropped it. But then my 2000 Sable had a cassette player...?
  6. It's possible it just needs to be recalibrated. If I remember, there is some setting where you tell it to learn, then you drive in a circle. Not certain where the actual compass sensor is. I'd think only the outside temp sensor was in the front of the car.
  7. Appears to be fixed. My Firefox address bar now has a proper lock icon instead of the not-secure icon.
  8. Nope. Some browsers will remember the override and not warn. I am using my phone right now and had to override.
  9. It looks like there is a security certificate issue with this site. I had to override to get here.
  10. Forgot about that. This is on the computer, so it's the "Mark site read" check mark. Finally did work.
  11. For the past few days, this thread keeps showing one new post, even after I have read it:
  12. From the original description, I wonder if the common/ground wire to the bulb is bad somewhere.
  13. Pink could be coolant (check it's color), or transmission.
  14. You can check some local tire shops to see if it can be straightened. Air leakage may not always be due to being bent, but also due to corrosion by the bead, too.
  15. The resistor only controls the fan speed. If the fan is working, the blower resistor is fine.
  16. On my Fusion, the Motorcraft solid blades seemed to hold up the best. This was on a 2011 Fusion. The main issue is the passenger side curved so much that most wipers tend to get permanent bend in them while parked and then don't clean well.
  17. There is only so much traction control can do. What tires and what condition are they in? When I had my Fusion, I replaced some mostly worn (but not to minimum) Pirelli Cintaurato something with the Michelin Cross Climate. Night and day difference.
  18. Did the Fusion ever switch to pure computer control? I know at some point the MKZ used pushbutton selection. Not sure if the two used separate systems for awhile or not.
  19. There shifter is not mechanical. It just moves a switch to different contacts. Sounds like something became disconnected and it still thinks you are in reverse, which is why it won't start.
  20. As always, read the manual. I think the 2013+ can be up to 2000 lbs, depending on the engine/trans. https://www.cornerstoneford.com/2020-ford-fusion-towing-capacity/
  21. There were many changes from Gen 1 to Gen 1.5. Even the V6 was updated with more power (221 to 240 hp). Supposedly only internal changes, but you have no idea if there were any external changes, or redesign of other engine compartment layout. Not to mention pulleys, belts, hoses, etc...
  22. The 2010-2012 Fusion Sport came with hydraulic power steering. Different engine, so probably not an easy replacement. It's probably cheaper to either sell your 2011 and buy either a 2006-2009, or the 2010-2012 Sport.

I had a 2011 V6 SEL, which I bought used, same colors as yours. When cold, the trans did have some unusually hard shifts at times. There was a software update and it was much better.
