  1. So I've had this vibration/shake on the highway in my 2010 Fusion SEL I4 for 4 years now, ever since I hit a huge hole. I've had the tires replaced, rims replaced, rotors, the driver side axle twice (seal keeps getting chewed up), all three motor mounts recently, cause they were cracked and worn. Shake is still there, 60 mph and above. Driver side rotor keeps warping and needs to be replaced again. Could this be just something axle related that my Ford dealer is not properly repairing? I'm just fed up with it.
  2. Lucky it was that. I have my sway bar links checked and they're nice and tight. So still don't know what my clunk is. Doesn't seem to affect anything, performance wise. It's just annoying.
  3. Irish007 that sucks that after all that, you still have a problem. It could be a c/v joint or hub/bearing. I wish I had seen the hole and went around it. I'm still having a shaking/vibration at highway speeds. The Ford dealer says they've checked everything, yet I'm still getting it.
  4. I get the same noise. It sounds like it's in the right front fender/pillar area. It annoys me, but can't find what causes it.
  5. I've posted other topics on a vibration on my 2010 Fusion, left front wheel. Been going on for two years, since hitting a pot hole and Ford mechanics can't find the issue. So I jacked the car up, put it in neutral and spun the wheel with my hands. I can hear a clicking noise coming from the axle and the wheel is very stiff when moving. Now mind you, this axle has been replaced due to a defect, which caused a leak. I hit the pot hole after the new axle was installed. So I'm wondering if it is the hub assembly or cv joint on the axle. The clicking sound comes from where the inner cv join is.
  6. Well even the other Ford dealer I brought it to, can't find the source. It's not really a vibration as much as a shimmy, wobble. The machined the rotors, cause they were warping. Didn't fix the other issue. It's funny, cause the rotors keep warping. They said the axle, hub bearing etc is fine. I don't think they really looked. In a hour and a half.
  7. That's something I'm thinking it could be. It seems to be getting worse and more of a shake now. I don't know what it could be and why they can't fix it. It was fine before hitting that hole. It's going to a different Ford dealer next week and hopefully they can find the source. I'm stumped, cause by looking myself, everything looks ok, but the vibration/shake is really there. My friends can feel it, anyone in the car can. It actually gets worse, while stopping from highway speeds.
  8. Well, here's an update, the dealer still cannot find what is causing the vibration. The wheel bearing, hub assembly appears to be fine. But what they did not check, was the axle shaft. I'm wondering if I bent that? I have noticed, when I'm turned to the right or left, the transmission will slip. Not so much driving straight.
  9. Thank you, I was thinking it could be the rotor flange/bearing. Tires are new and it didn't matter what tires I had on the car. Alignment's fine and wheel are balanced. So the bearing is all that's left.
  10. I posted a topic a while go, about a vibration on the left front wheel of my 2010 Fusion SEL I4. Back in Jan/Feb 2012, I had hit a huge hole in a construction area, it was raining, didn't see it, (BAM!) Enough to cause my cd to skip. Anyway, ever since then, there's been a vibration on that left front side of the car, felt only at highway speeds, 45-50 and 60-75, through the steering wheel, gas pedal etc. Even my coffee cup will shake in the cup holder. I've replaced two bent rims, have new tires, inner tie rods ends replaced, new left front axle, new rotors, alignment and road forced balanced the tires at two different shops. Nothing seems to fix it. It's still doing it and violently sometimes. I bring it to a local Ford dealer for service, and they can't find the problem and they can feel it too. Where is it coming from? Feel like getting rid of the car cause of it.
  11. The Ford dealer I go to, has a new road force balancing machine and they forced balanced all the tires the best they can. Replaced a couple bent rims, got new rotors. Got the snow tires on right now, but still had the vibration with my other tires, before the snows were put on. Could I have a bent wheel bearing? Cause it's always the driver side front where the vibration comes from. They did replace the axle in 2012, cause the seal broke and was leaking. I hit the bad pot hole around that time they fixed that. Rim was bent, but as I said, replaced. Not hearing any noise in front though. So it's got to either be the bearing or new axle.
  12. Is there anyone that can help? Not getting a reply. Thanks
  13. I have a 2010 Fusion, 71,000 miles on it. I've been getting a vibration/shake from the left front wheel, since feb 2012. It can be felt int he steering wheel and through the floor. I was driving on a rainy night and through a road construction area and didn't see a huge hole, smashed it, ever since that, the vibration's been there. Replaced tires, bent rim, inner tie rod. Tires are properly balanced, new driver side axle, cause the seal at the transmission, was leaking fluid. Rotors, brakes done. What else could this be? Dealer can't find the source and suspension is tight. Vibration starts above 40 mph, but is worse above 60. Doesn't matter if my snow tires are on or summer. You can hear a slight skipping noise too.
  14. I have Philips Crystal Visions in my 2010 and they're brighter and whiter than stock. Even brighter and whiter then the silverstars. I've compared them side by side.
